Jesus refers to Himself as the bright and morning star in Revelation 22:16. This same star was His emblem when He was born in Bethlehem. Besides this, He says He’s so many other things: the vine, the way, the truth, the life, the resurrection.
When He embodied them, He was able to manipulate & exploit them. He said He is life and resurrection. No wonder He was able to resuscitate Lazarus four days after in the grave he had lain.
In Luke 7:48, he declared to the woman with the alabaster box that her sins were forgiven! He had the power to forgive sins because He was (and is) the lamb who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29). That was the thing that the Pharisees knew not.
2 Corinthians 5:21 states that God made Jesus who knew no sin to become sin for you and I, that we may become the righteousness of God. In essence, Jesus was (and is) still able to forgive and take sin, because he was to become it! It’s like He was taking what He was out of another human being — siphoning it back to Himself and in Himself. He embodied the lamb from the very onset when his horns were trapped in that thicket continental drifts ago, when Abraham lifted his dagger to sacrifice Isaac.
He still embodied death and the curse for us. He embodied the bronze serpent that hung on a pole erected by Moses. Whoever was bitten by a live serpent but looked on the bronze serpent never died. Jesus retracted the keys of death and hell, and so, He locked the door for whoever looked at Him. He siphoned the death off them telling it “This far you have come, and no farther will you go! You will not have this life.”
He took it further, by absorbing death off every body that lay in the ground the day He died. It is written that many graves opened that day! (Matt 27:22)
Jesus is also the righteous judge. When the plaintiffs of the pharisees caught the woman in adultery, he put up a show that made everyone around guilty. The end was that the respondent walked away not as guilty as she thought she had been. When the accuser of the brethren condemns you too, the Judge defends you and walk away unashamed.
In Haggai, 2:23 God calls Zerubbabel his SIGNET ring! These rings bore an engraving on their faces, which were dipped in wax to form either an embossed or debossed seal of a king in ancient lore. Any document or form of communication always required this mark to be considered authentic or valid coming from a king. Zerubbabel had to grasp the meaning and depth of a signet ring if he was going to live up to what God was comparing him to.
How about you? What has God called you? What emblem has He given you! Head and not tail? Embody your emblem! If a tail is cut of an animal, it can survive. But when its head is cut, its life goes.
God compares the descendants of Abraham to stars. No wonder Joseph dreamt that the sun and moon and stars bowed to him. The stars were all descendants of Abraham. That is why Jesus is represented by a star on his birthday as well!
You are a star too if you are a seed of Abraham. The qualification for that is not Jewish blood anymore, but believing on Jesus. (Gal 3:29) Now if you are a star, what do they do? What do they represent? By understanding, you will be able to appreciate every emblem God used to describe you and therefore live up to it.
Stars for example were used for navigation at sea by sailors or explorers lost in deserts. You by God are meant to help men find their true norths — to find their purposes or their way back home (to God).
Weeks ago, I had a vision of stars descending into the minds of men who wore a Nemes (a type of headdress similar to a crown) oft won by Pharaohs. God said these were dreams only you could interpret. I described this in the previous blog. After long meditation, I came to a new conclusion.
Pharaoh’s dream was interpreted by Joseph, and the solution was not only given by him but also implemented by him. Pharaoh saw no better person to execute the wisdom to counter the famine to come. In hindsight, it’s as if Pharaoh dreamt about Joseph — to promote him! With the saving of men, came the lifting of Joseph. If he hadn’t been still in prison, famine would have destroyed so many, and we can’t be certain if Josep’d have survived as well.
When I see the stars descending into the minds of these sleeping pharaohs, my vision changes meaning! They are dreaming about us — you and me! For we are stars! Praise God!
The other way we shall reap off the emblems God has called us is by faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. I’ve always said I can’t prove to you that I own land until I show you a land title or deed. I may not have the land with me when I come to visit you, but the deed will show you the 500 acres I have and where they are situated.
The Bible is that deed. His word has said you are a lender to many nations. That’s your identity, just like the stars. If a country like Uganda has a debt of USD 37 billion, and someone like Elon Musk has USD 950 billion, he’s in position to lend Uganda to clear the debt. This is to help paint the picture for you. Now Uganda is just one country! God said we’d lend MANY! If this sets in your imagination, you can’t be bothered by rent! You can’t lend to a nation if you are struggling personally — if you have no estates — if you have no houses. By the time you are dominioning national realms, you must have conquered individual and familial and regional realms.
If you are struggling in anyway, go to the future, import back this mentality and live with it in your present mind. As a man thinketh, so is he. And so, this understanding creates your world just like by it God framed the one we are living in.
Search the emblems He has dubbed you and live them out. He’s called you kings and priests, a royal priesthood — these are self explanatory. He’s called you a holy nation, a peculiar people, THE rose of Sharon, THE lily of the valley — symbols of bloom and beauty.
The list is endless, and I task you to go search it out, and embody everything He has called you!
