The Mantle of the Preferred

My sister, from the prophetic intercessors, used to declare a statement that remained with me as the years went on. She used to pray (and still says it once upon a divine inspiration), “You bear the mantle of the preferred.”

As I meditated upon it months ago, I remembered a scenario from 2024. I was invited to write on wedding invitation cards for someone. The subject’s mother boasted of my handwriting. She said “I thought I and my daughter had the best of them. And then you showed up!”

Honestly I saw her daughter’s handwriting, and it wasn’t that bad! It’d have written on those cards. But — “… we prefer yours.” The mother to the groom added.

Sometimes the word ‘favor’ can be misleading, or underwhelming. The other term ‘preferred’ drives the point rather home. There’d be a thousand vendors offering your service, and they’d not necessarily be under-performing or under-delivering, but you’ll be effortlessly preferred.

There’d be no reason to out-vote your peers or counterparts. They’d be your same skin-tone Esther. They’d even have longer hair! But you’ll enthral the King. Just like that.

Please understand that this isn’t a scenario where you are more diligent than all those present. No! Imagine all the best entities in the game have been summoned — you inclusive! Each had proven themselves in the marketplace, but God wants you to know that He has anointed you above your peers!

Yes! All your brothers could look the part, but O the anointing prefers you O David! Come get thee up from the field, the throne summons you! For you have found favor in the sight of the King of Kings!

You’d be a sinner Zaccheus! But Jesus has chosen to come to your house for dinner! He prefers so!

He turns to you in your field, in your family, in your nation, in your continent, in the earth! He turns to you and shines His face on you, saying “The mantle of the preferred rests on you today!”

It’s not a work of work. Not a work of strife! But a work of His love! Be elevated today from the ordinary. That mantle takes you before kings and not mean or mere men!

Your preordained mate notices you among the many! You won’t do so much to gain favor in his or her eyes! She or he will prefer you among the many!

You bear the mantle of the preferred!

You bear the mantle of the preferred!

You bear the mantle of the preferred!

In Jesus’ name!

Esther 2:9 And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king’s house: and he PREFERRED her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women.

Psalm‬ ‭45‬:‭7‬ ‭Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Esther 2:17 And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
