Psalms 121:5-6 The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.
In part one, I explained how according to Proverbs 10:22, God blesses us, making us rich and adds no sorrow to anything. That is; when He gives us a child, a job, or anything we longed or prayed for, it should not be accompanied by some sort of regret.
We must then be careful, if we complain about the things He gives us. The enemy has learnt to add sorrow and regret to these things through trickery; like he did in the garden of Eden to our ancestors.
As I prayed yesterday, I was led to Psalm 121:5-6. The author states that He is your shade at your right hand. That the sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
This is the light that flooded my eyes:
The sun is meant to provide vitamin D, aid our visibility during day, and help plants give us oxygen and food through photosynthesis. When God created it, He saw that it was good. But what has happened in the hot seasons? The sun tends to blaze scorchingly — incessantly; and many long for cloud cover or rain. The sun suddenly becomes some sort of curse — some sort of sorrow!
But He has said the sun shall not strike you by day! He must have considered the hot seasons!
This is an allegory! The sun could represent that job, that answered prayer. It represents a source of income (vitamin D or light); but many atimes, something could go wrong at the place of work. Threats of sacking could fly about! Superiors or supervisors could tend to become stubborn, and malevolent; and we could begin complaining and murmuring about the very thing we prayed to God for!
But He has said the sun shall not strike you!
We must discern when the enemy comes to add sorrow to the blessing. We must rejoice having knowledge of this! That we are not ignorant of his devices! And that there was never any sorrow intended.
I perceived that ‘sun’ could represent your salary and ‘moon’ your savings (during dark times). Both are hopes, according to perhaps the seasons of abundance or ‘seemingly’ scarcity you’d have. The sun striking could represent salary delayal; and the moon — savings suffocation or askew investing!
Ah, but the Lord declares none shall strike you! O may His word comfort you; and fight for you at whatever challenge you might be facing career-wise. He is your shade! In case the sun begins to bite, in the shadow of His wings you dwell — taking refuge; until the sun’s scorch passes by.
Perhaps He gave you the land, but the house construction seems to stall! The sun shall not strike you by day! Take comfort in His shadow! Perhaps your child has become wayward; speak to him or her! By God’s word they are recalibrated back to God’s blueprint for them.
This very Psalms states that you shall not be afraid of the arrow that flies by day nor the terror that comes at night. (91:5) Do you see the sun’s rays transforming to crack your skin as arrows? Do you see the arrows of your quiver — for God says children are like arrows — do you see them flying in the wrong direction? DO NOT BE AFRAID! Don’t fret! In the mighty name of Jesus, I join your faith and speak realignment. God gets a hold of their tails and relaunches them in His bow into the right direction! These blessings are not about to turn into your sorrow!
The disease, the autism, the disabilities or plagues that have tried to strike them we bind them here on earth and rebuke them all off of them! Your babies are delivered from the snare of the fowler! And from the noisome pestilence! They are covered by His feathers; under His wings they take refuge. By this truth they are shielded!
Refuse to be afraid of the pestilence that walks in the dark! Nor any destruction that lays waste at noonday! A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand to your right; but it shall not come near you! You won’t lose your job! You won’t diminish. Rather, you are promoted! You increase to the left and to the right! Your children shall not be for calamity! He declared so in His word!
Any affliction eyeing them, we judge and condemn right now in the name of Jesus! His consuming fire ashens it all! His hedge of fire burns protection round them!
The school fees locate you; from their kindergarten to their university! I speak a quickening to your house construction! You shall enter or rejoice before the year ends! The moon shall not strike you at night! Your marriage becomes ten times more exciting and sweet as it was during your honeymoon! Any ounce of sorrow the enemy had slid in we eject and reject this very moment!
He gave you breath and life today! We refuse your health from deteriorating! Go from strength to strength! Run faster than horses! With long life He satisfies you! A long struggle-free life! No plague shall come near your dwelling! No evil shall befall you! No firing! No burial of your child! No failure to clear that mortgage! No bad medical reports! NONE!
You enjoy the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! None of the good things He promised you fail! All came to pass!
The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night!
The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night!
The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night!
Give thanks and rejoice … for before you call, He already answered! No sorrow shall be added to your blessings! None!
