As you Come in, As you Go Out!

Deuteronomy‬ ‭28‬:‭6‬ Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

Blessed were you when you came out of your mother’s womb, and blessed were you when you came into this world!

Blessed were you when you began kindergarten, and blessed were you when you accomplished secondary school or college!

Blessed were you when you joined university, and blessed were you when you graduated!

(Feel free to apply the required tense for your situation)

Blessed are you when you head out of your house! Blessed are you when you return to your house! Even if you went out with nothing, or returned with less than you went out with, you are still blessed!

Blessed are you when you began at that job, and blessed are you when retirement comes, or when the next opportunity arrives! You will not diminish or be small! You go from one level of glory to the next! Your tomorrow is greater than your today! Don’t be intimidated by those that say you won’t flourish after the closing of the previous door! Your God has commanded blessing even at the next door!

Blessed are you when you came into Holy Matrimony! And still blessed are those whose partners were done apart by death! I am talking about the widows and widowers, and it might not be you, but whatever happened, they must know that the blessing wasn’t dependent on their partner, but on their God in them!

Blessed are you when you come in to deliver your infant, and blessed are you when you go out! You will head out dancing with your bundle(s) of joy! No evil shall befall the mother nor child!

Blessed are you when you walk out of that ministry, especially when God has commanded you to move like Abraham . . . and blessed are you when you enter Canaan. The curses that the previous pastor may have (and emphasis on ‘may have’) pronounced out of anger or misunderstanding or selfishness — may they not alight! Blessed are you when God settles you into the new!

Blessed are you when you set foot into that foreign country, especially for work! And blessed shall you be when it’s time to come out! May this God make you reign like Joseph under Pharaoh, and may you not become or return as a slave fleeing!

Blessed are you David, when you go into the fields — the place of the least favorite in the family! Blessed are you when you return, daily! And one day, your return shall be by convoy and majesty, for the prophet would have summoned for you!

Blessed are you when you leave your house, and blessed are you when you return! Job says you will find your dwelling in peace, and the Psalmist declares that your leave and return shall be preserved from all evil!

Blessed shall you be when you breathe your last! And blessed shall you be when the streets of gold you’ll walk into!

Blessed are you when you come in, and blessed are you when you go out!
