The Treasure in Tongues

How did Paul deduce and conclude the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit? These are laws! Like he said, indeed, these are foundations of sort! This feels like being the first man to step on the moon.

How does one come to such conclusions. We’d speculate that these were research objectives; or experiences he took note of … But what made Him conclude the matters; if not God concluding them for Him?

How did he know how to redeem time? The differences of being led by the spirit and flesh? Melchizedek representing the High priest? Us bearing all blessings in the heavenly places? Telling women how to submit to husbands and yet he was not even married!?

His letters have been used in hospitals, churches, governments, civilizations, entities, companies, for all these millenia! What gave them such longevity and relevance?

As I wondered about all this, God — like He must have made it known to Paul — told me the secret was the Holy Spirit’s gift of tongues. This is the most despised and scorned gift by many christians!

And yet with this gift you can love your enemies! You’re praying but you don’t even know that you are praying for. First of all God is communing with Himself within you. The Father and Spirit. Maybe you are actually praying for your very enemies! And yet you were determined to hate them.

God helps you perform His will unbeknownst to you — but beyond that; going back to the main point; the deductions and conclusions of Paul: He says he spoke (or prayed) in tongues more than most of these particular people he was writing to in Corinth.

He not only wrote the laws, but he wrote the most — Three quarters of the New Testament! He was entrusted with many mysteries!

And maybe you are no writer, but I dare say there is something about this particular gift. It will make you do the most as well in your field! Entrust you with the archimedes’ principles and Newton’s theorems there; hand you things untaught before! And you’ll bear the privilege of introducing whatever it will be to the world.

It’d be a new instrument in music. It’d be an invention in thermodynamics or engineering. It’d be a vaccine!

Many have stumbled into these discoveries by accident! But tongues will make these discoveries stumble into YOU … intentionally!

I pray you embrace them — these tongues! And I pray that you allow the utterances of the Holy Spirit to resound in you! For I believe, if He is in you, and He bears that ability and gift, then you simply just need to allow Him to speak through you! He said if parents would not give you stones when you asked for bread; how much more Him!

Then after asking Him, believe He has heard: He that employs so much effort to feed birds that don’t bother asking to be fed. He that gave up Christ for you and could not hold Him back — why can He not give this gift freely!
