One Way

Last Monday, I recorded a video of the rain and preached basing on Isaiah 55:10-11 which in summary talks about how God’s word is like the rain which leaves the heavens, and falls to the ground and doesn’t return but it accomplishes all that He sends it to do!

Within the week, I meditated on the same thing, and God brought a new concept or term. I observed how all the droplets shot downwards in dashed lines by gravity. Then I heard God say, “ONE WAY!”

The rain never falls upwards! When you go for a short call or long call (or as some like to say; call of nature) it’s always one way! Nothing goes back in! 😅

In the same way, God’s word goes or comes one direction: the prosperity direction. If it is falling, it is falling! If it is rising, it is rising! It doesn’t both prosper and fail; it is not like a two way road: cars going south and others going North — NO!

What stops its prosperity in your life is when you don’t believe it! If His word says you are blessed in the city and in the country, you must believe it! That is when you will truly be blessed despite your surrounding. His word says all things are possible to them that believe!

To help your faith, you must acquaint yourself so much with His word, that the seemingly impossible becomes normal to you. Reading about the things He did and is doing will help your faith come (Rom 10:17)

But lastly, I wanted to emphasize the art of meditation.

Staying long on a verse or a revelation will enable you see what you never saw at first! There is a reason why God is multifaceted!

There is a reason why He uses eyes in His symbolism. There is a reason why the cherubim seen by Ezekiel were made up of eyes! There is a reason why the throne’s wheels seen by him were also made of eyes! The creatures in revelation were made of eyes as well…

If you had eyes on your back, you would not need to turn around to see what is behind you. If we had eyes at the back of our head, perhaps we could see vehicles veering off, and we’d run quick to save ourselves from accidents!

The analogy here is: you would not be limited by only what you see in front. You’d still possess your one body, but, see different things from different angles all at the same time!

I am sure you have read a familiar verse and then said, ‘Wow! I had never seen it from that point before!’

That is what I’d refer to as a new eye having grown. The body (verse or object of reference) is the same, but you’d be as though you lifted it and examined it (if it was an object) off a table, looking into it, above it, below it, around it and even behind it.

This is what makes us return to His word! Having new eyes is what will make your reading of His word enjoyable; because it’d be a quest or a treasure hunt; and just like I stumbled into this ‘one way’ truth, you could stumble into some chests of sapphires and rubies in settings of gold and silver!

Isaiah 55:10-11 For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
