Knowledge + Faith

Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

Firstly, your inheritance is knowledge based. The more knowledge of God and of you you have in His word, the more inheritance you’ll uncover! And that ranges from power to people. From things seen to things unseen.

Secondly, after having that knowledge, one ought to believe! To believe what has been written about them and of God in His word. This will be the key that opens the door to the house of knowledge! Knowledge uncovers! Faith unlocks! Knowledge provides! Faith accesses! Knowledge is the email notifying you about the millions debuted to your account! Faith is the pin required when the ATM card is inserted.

It is one thing receiving a land title. It’s another stepping onto that land. It is one thing receiving a house as a gift. It’s another entering it physically! Some have the knowledge! And they merely bypass the gates of houses God has given them. Not believing keeps them out; and they keep swaying by, to the next gate where they pay rent and yet their own mansion stares back from the fence above!

Your size in the spirit as well is knowledge based! The people that are constantly facing ‘spiritual attacks’ must know that they lack a lot of knowledge concerning what is theirs! It is a lie that facing attacks is a sign of spiritual maturity and qualification. Jesus defeated and disarmed the principalities that were over us by reason of our fallen nature.

Isaiah 26:12 says God has ordained us peace and blessings. 32 the chapter says the work of righteousness is peace (both external and internal) and the result of righteousness (or its effect) is quietness, and confident trust forever. God adds that His people (us), shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places.

Quiet and peace are crucial & common evidences of righteousness. This means; that at some point, there must be proof of the still waters that God has brought you to drink from. There has to be proof of the green pastures He has made you lie down in.

This has to be for every Christian! And if not, one has to consider the fact that they could be living in an illusion and a lie: that they actually haven’t arrived yet, yet they have; that they have to sweat and work to please God to enter His rest. And yet they are in rest in Jesus already — pleasing to God.

But this pleasing to God comes with a condition; which is faith. And knowing that you please God is written somewhere in His word. So get this knowledge! Get this faith!

The silver lining in this is; faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. But hearing is a precursor to knowledge! We know all that we know because we heard much of it (either through study, or reading or watching — name it). Thus, I can safely say it is hard for a person of the word not to have faith! If you seem to lack it, check your reserves of knowledge!

But if you have the knowledge, and still something is amiss — the results seem not to manifest the way they must . . . then you must check your unbelief!

Then again, the silver lining is; it is impossible to have much unbelief having read all the various stories of those that have gone before us! The way they believed, and the way others were rebuked for not believing, you are left with no choice but to find yourself believing!

I was about to pray that God helps your unbelief! But with what we’ve just read, that prayer is invalid! I will pray Paul’s prayer: That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (Ephesians 1:17-18)
