BLOW!

John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases (wills). You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

This morning, this verse awoke like a mighty rushing wind. The writer provokes the most important and yet hidden truth within all of us by saying, ‘the wind blows where IT pleases!’

The wind doesn’t blow where man wants. It doesn’t blow where there are no buildings. It determines its own path. It determines its own conditions! And to sum it up, John says so are you — if you’re born again!

You’re wind! Blow where you please!

Are you tired of the deserts? Blow towards the tropics and equator! Are you tired of the heat? Blow to the cool. Do you desire rain? You’re the factor that makes rainfall! Blow on the windward side, and make relief rain fall down the hill sides and the hills. You make the land and sea breezes, that make convection rain fall down onto the pastures.

You’re wind! Blow where you will!

You can’t be contained. You can’t be held down. Has anyone ever caught a breath in the palm of their hands? No? Then why do you think you can be cursed, or bewitched into a bottle! Get free! You can pass through the tiniest crack! No wonder Jesus couldn’t stay in the grave! He blew out of death back to the land of the living! That applies to you too!

For the situations that you’re tired of such as old shacks, sicknesses and poverty — blow them to the ground. You’re the factor that causes sand storms in the deserts! You’re a tornado that destroys everything in your way. Crush your enemy!

You’re the factor that causes the oceans to rise and fall! No wonder Jesus commanded the waves to be still. He was (and still is) the wind! And if He told it to stop blowing, why would it defy itself (or its nature)! If the captain of the army commanded the soldiers to stop attacking, how could they dare defy him!

The wind blowing where it wills means it does whatever it pleases without asking for permission! If it pleases to raise the dead, it shall. If it pleases to walk on water it shall! If it pleases not to be sick, it shall not be. No wonder Paul was bitten by a viper, but no poison from it did him any harm. He blew where he pleased — to divine health!

You’re wind! Blow where you wish!

Blow from lack towards abundance even when there’s famine, and you’ll reap a hundred fold when you sow. You’re unpredictable! The world might expect you to be in a certain condition, having a specific net worth! But they can’t tell where you’re coming from nor where you are going!

Blow from Egypt back to the promised land. Blow from a land where you sweat to work to a land where you’ll receive houses filled with good things that you didn’t build, where you’ll receive wells you did not dig! Yes that land awaits you! Blow from shame, to ‘kings coming to your rising and nations to your light’

Wind spreads fires. When fires encounter water islands, the wind can carry the flames over the waters to the bushes over shore, and then have the fire continue to burn! You are this wind, catalyzing the spread of revival fires!

Wind carries airborne diseases. But you can choose to carry airborne cures and blessings. Blow carrying the signs of healing the sick and raising the dead. They follow you! The wind determines its own path, and its own conditions. No wonder we are called trees planted by the rivers of water who bring forth fruit in their season. We determine when to bud! And whatever we do prospers — emphasis is ‘WE.’

The Word didn’t say we bring forth fruit when the ‘mango season’ comes. It didn’t say we bring forth fruit when the wet season comes. It’s us who determine that; who blow WHERE & WHEN we please!

Blow where you please today! Blow to the promises today! For you’re BORN of the Spirit — whose name is Ruach, which also means WIND, which makes you wind too, for you’ve been born of THE WIND!

So … BLOW!
