Extents

Jesus said “You are the light of the world”.

A friend of mine was preaching and said, ” He didn’t say you’d be the light of Kasangati or Kololo or whichever place or town you come from. Jesus said the world!”

Then God told me, “With the extent to which you see your influence reach, will be the extent to which your influence will actually reach. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”

God means to say, if you think your business can not exceed the boundaries of your village or your country, then it will not. If you think your songs can not be impactful beyond your country or home area, then they will not. If you think the greatness that’s on the inside of you can not exceed your extended family fame, then it will NOT!

You being the light of the world means God placed in you global greatness. The ideas … the businesses … the wonders that are meant to be manifested by you are for global impact and not just to feed you, your wife and your 5 children!

But it all begins with what you see, how you see, and what you believe. God said “Ask of me nations and I’ll give them to you as your inheritance. Ask the whole earth and I’ll give it to you as a possession.” (Psalm 2:8) He’s trying to ask you not to hold back. To dream as large as you can, and to dare as unthinkable as it can get.

Look these things are yours for the taking. Nothing hurts like reaching Heaven and God shows you how much was available to you that you didn’t ask for, or to whose extent you failed to reach.

If you ask for a plot of land, God says He can give it. But there’s more. If you ask for a promotion, God says He can give it. But there’s more. Why ask for a free meal when you can own the entire restaurant! Why ask for a promotion yet you can own that company! Why ask for a plot, yet you can ‘own’ the entire earth!

The promise to Abraham and His seed (Christ…of whom you’re hidden) was that He’d be heir of the earth. (Rom 4:13) The earth had been handed to the devil, but after Christ, the liberty to have it back under the control of God’s children was resecured. And now, according to how much you ask, will be how much you’ll receive.

So…? Extend your capacity. Position yourself for increase. For the only hindrance you’ve had all this while, is your thought pattern. You’ve been thinking poor. You’ve been thinking scarcity. You’ve been thinking survival. But now, I charge you to start thinking rich. Start thinking abundance. Start thinking generosity.

Imagine owning the earth as your possession. Don’t just imagine your village. Don’t just imagine your country. Don’t just imagine your continent. Shrink the earth and make it fit in your palm. See a land title of the earth bearing your names…

Only when you think this way, shall the actualization of your ownership of the earth initialize. The idea here is not to settle for less. God is provoking you, to settle for all that He has made available for you. Isaiah said something in this regard;

“Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited.” (54:2-3)

Isaiah saw us thousands of years ago, and bade us to ENLARGE our tents. Why? Why does God want you to obtain it all?

Well, firstly, Isaiah says, YOU WILL EXPAND! It is annoying to expand, and yet there’s no room for expansion! Secondly, man was given dominion over every creature on earth, and in the sky. He seeks to reconcile that promise. Thirdly, you’re made in His image. You’re His son, His daughter. It’s funny when your father owns everything, and yet you own nothing! Should we call Him selfish?! No! He’s groaning and weeping, asking you to come take on the family’s inheritance, so that indeed men can say you are your Father’s child. So that they can say, you not only look like Him on the inside, but also on the outside—holy and wealthy.

So it ends up becoming an issue of identity and of first purpose (dominion) as opposed to your small discomfort. Enlarge what you’re asking God, and you’ll be surprised, how large the extent of what you own will become…

And remember,

It all starts with how you see yourself… Light of the WORLD, and not just the light of your ghetto. Making disciples of ALL nations and not just a few nations. Being witnesses for Him in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the utter ends of the WORLD, and not just in Jerusalem (your home town) alone…

Seeing the WORLD & asking for it, is the climax of the extents of what God said you’d have! If you’re asking for less than the world, then you’re not walking in your full inheritance at all, or if you are, then you’re enjoying much less than 0.001% of what’s available for you . . . as yours!

Place the predestined demand on your light today. Command it to increase in luminance. Tell it it’s supposed to touch the entire earth. Place the demand on the world today. Tell it to position itself to, to organise itself, to start accommodating your light today…!
