Let God Pray for You

Jeremiah 18:19 Give heed to me, Lord; listen to [what] my adversaries [are plotting to do to me–and intercede].

One time I was praying with a friend, and God was powerfully present. I continued to vent and rant.

“God give me tuition. God thank you for tuition.”

Suddenly, I heard His Spirit shush me.

“Let go. Let me pray for you!”

For those who are not aware, there is a gift of the Holy Spirit called speaking in tongues or praying in tongues.

Now both statements are correct, as the first is evidenced when someone seems to pray in a language they don’t understand but a foreigner might.

The latter is only understood by God, and it’s mentioned that one speaks only to God and no one else. Even the devil can’t intercept what’s being said. Ha!

Anyhow, it is beautiful for God Himself to pray for you. Firstly, He knows all you need. Secondly, He answers you before you call. That means He knew all about my tuition, and had indeed provided for it.

What was then the need, for Him to continue in prayer for me. 1 Corinthians 14 hints that when I pray in tongues, I speak mysteries. I am practically receiving things, instructions, words that will outlive me.

This is greater than my needs. It is like God is saying, “You’ve sought me first. All these other things have been added to you. Now let me converse with you. Let me reason with you. Let me give you prophecies for nations. Let me tell you what’s to come; the evil that will, so that you know how to hide from it.”

Like John, He prays to show us the end of the world. To show us the future, instead of our material needs that He has already sorted. Like Paul, He seeks to give you insight in the grace of His love and how it can save 8 billion people.

Let Him pray in you and for you, and your deeps shall call for His deeps. You’ll find no greater match to fulfill you. Let His Spirit talk with Him on what hidden riches of the secret places can be shared with you for His glory and for your wealth.

When you pray in tongues, you’re not asking or begging. God Himself is creating that thing and manifesting it from the heavenly places in Him, into your soulish realm, your physical world! Let God pray for you! For what you ask for, you’ve already received.

When He prays for you, He is saying ‘Let there be light’ and light becomes! He is creating a thing you didn’t know you needed, having sorted all your wants.

Let Him pray for you!
