The Mystery of the River & the Garden (How to create, Part 3)

This third part of the How to create series particularly cost me hours and hours of research and study of the Hebrew meanings. First written in January, here is another finally;

In Genesis 2:8 The story of Eden continues, and we discover that not all Eden was a garden. Verse 10 states that out of Eden’s ground a river went to the garden and from there it parted into 4 rivers (like some sort of delta).

The name of the first was Pishon, and it skirted the land of Havilah where there was good gold. Pishon means the changing, extension of the mouth. Havilah means ‘circle’. To circle can also be a verb which means to travel around along a curved path. It is as if Pishon went round and round the good gold (treasure). We’ll return to draw conclusions, let’s go onto the next for now.

The second was Gihon, which went around the whole land of Cush. Gihon means bursting forth or gushing. Cush from the greek studies meant the land of the black men who can’t reverse their dark skin. It’s like something getting burnt and not being able to recover…

The third was Hiddekel (Tigris) which went east of Assyria, and the fourth was Euphrates. Hiddekel means sharp and swift, Tigris means a dart, Assyria means son of Ashur.

Ashur some sources say means happy and some say ‘warlike’ while east also represented ‘dawn’. Euphrates means that makes fruitful.

Waters according to some scriptures could also mean ‘Spirit’. And what did Jesus say? The words I speak to you are Spirit and truth. Reversely, the Word is the river before it split into four ways. If you are keen enough, God hid the four stages of creation in this portion of scripture.

First, you speak it (Pishon), then go over it and speak it again and again (Havilah), this treasure of the Word (good gold), until it bursts forth (gihon) from your heart [out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks Matt 12:34] and go around until it’s irreversible and totally believed by you (Cush) trusting every word as truth, just like Cushites aka Ethiopians (and Nubians who are darker) can’t do anything to make their skins white but take it as it is; permanently dark!

That word will then swiftly and sharply go like a warlike (Ashur) dart (arrow)…since naturally His word is swift and sharp (Heb 4:12, Psa 147:15) and bring to pass its very intention or perform that which you want it to and it won’t return void (Isa 55:10-11) but be fruitful (Euphrates)

Notice Euphrates wasn’t circling anything. It simply made fruitful. That means that is the perfection of the creation. The first time water is mentioned, the Spirit is mentioned to have been over it. This brings to remembrance Jeremiah 1:12, that says He is alert and active watching over His word to perform it!

So, how about you get those scriptures like ‘He won’t withhold any good thing from you’ (Psa 84:11), then envision what you want to create, (baby, good job, great house) speak it over and over again with thanksgiving, as that is an act of faith that it’s already been given (Heb 11:6, Isa 65:24), believe it, find more Word about the situation (e.g if it is a house you are believing for, you can quote Deut 6:10 which says you’d receive houses you didn’t build) speak it over and over again, and soon, it’ll fly swiftly as a dart and make FRUITFUL!

I concluded that the river is a TONGUE. Because, for all of us to speak candidly, our tongues have to move.

Now it is mentioned that THE river flowed out of Eden into the garden. The garden represents the law of seedtime and harvest. Concerning this the bible says it shall not end as long as the earth remains (Gen 8:22)

Planting a seed is a form of creation and recreation. Let us note as well that God didn’t place Adam in just Eden, but in the garden of Eden. That means man was placed in the realm of seedtime and harvest.

Relating all this, your tongue is the sower since the river went to the garden. And Adam was asked to tend and keep the garden, where the river poured into; The garden is the ground (Heart).

Are you tending and keeping and watching what’s entering your heart? (Prov 4:23)

What is your tongue (RIVER) speaking? If it is evil, then death you shall have? If it is good, then life you shall have! Pharoah dreamt bad and good cows both come out of River Nile. Doesn’t it sound like power of life and death lie in the tongue?

The same river that drowned the Israelite babies, saw to the saving of baby Moses. The same river that turned into blood and killed all aqua life was the same that brought the hebrews’ redemption in a basket. We also see that while at Jordan is where God told Jesus He was his beloved son. We see the power of the tongue to affirm, commission and bless!

In the New Testament, we see another garden; Gethsemane (Gat Shemanim in Hebrew which means ‘oil press’) An oil press was where olive cloves were pressed to release oil. It is a painful process that reminds us of the Psalmist’s words, ‘We sow in tears but we will reap in joy’ (Psa 126:5-6)

The first garden showed us that we reap what we sow. The second garden showed us another kind of creation; we gain what we lose. We ask God to increase us and instead He asks us to give 😭…

After His death, Jesus was placed in a tomb in Gethsemane. He is the word, the ultimate seed (Luk 8:11), and he was a man. He was placed in the ground. In return He drew all men unto Him. All they need to do is accept Him and receive Him, believing that He became their sin that they may become the righteousness of God (2 Cor 5:21)

The whole point of the Word (Jesus) being buried in the ground, is that THE WORD has to be buried in your heart (the ground) and from where we began, we see the river (tongue) has to meet the garden (heart). Generally, to create, we have to speak using our tongues basing on the Word (promises God gave) that we have planted in our hearts;

And then we will have what WE SAY (Mark 11:23-24)
