Dear Harvest Institute, Class of 2020,
This is for you:
In March, 2018 I received a prophecy that I would be on an airplane around the same time the following year. I wrote down what was said to me in my journal. Fast forward, it’s 2019…and I have joined Gang; a discipling space by Pastors Moses and Sarah Mukisa.
Part of the curriculum was to go for a conference happening in Kenya and the only way to get there was by plane. All costs were about 2 million. As the year took course, I knew I’d to begin raising funds quick.
Pastor Moses advised; ‘Go to your rich relatives and share with them this awesome story. Tell them you’re on a journey to be a world-class global leader and you have to go for this trip. Don’t lie to them, just go say the plain truth.’
Now many of my peers, didn’t consider this suggestion. But I did. As Pastor Mosze (as he’s nickname commonly goes) spoke, God placed on my mind, which relatives to go to. It wasn’t easy, but faith told me it wasn’t impossible.
Obedience: The First Act
Aunt Praxxedez is a RICH figure, common in my family on the paternal side. She’s a pediatrician who stays in Muyenga, a town commonly known for the rich in Kampala.
I own an art business and my proposal was to present one of my pieces to her and see if I would intrigue her interest to purchase one of them or order for one.
Unfortunately, she claimed she didn’t have any space in her mansion, BUT she gave me two hundred thousand shillings as part of my contribution towards the two million saying, “You remind me of your father. I love what you are doing. I just love creative people.”
Till this day I ask myself, will I have received that money if I had not obeyed Mosze?
Obedience: The Second Act
Uncle Naigo is the Senior Accountant who works in the Judiciary High Office. An uncle in my maternal side. For long I knew about his secret love for art and so I went down with another proposal to him.
I suggested that I would make a masterpiece for his family and he just said ‘Do it!’ without asking how much it would cost. So, I went out and made the biggest size that I could and it looked so magnificent that I had to ask God how much it would cost. He told me 800,000 shillings.

When I presented the masterpiece finally to my uncle he was dumbfounded. It was so breathtaking, he paid for it in two installments, and . . . well, there I was. Partly disbelieving how easy this money had got to me.
Obedience: The Third Act
Probably, at this time you must be thinking I have already made the 1 million but I used 480,000/- of the 800,000/- to buy a new phone. So we’re back to just about 520,000/-
More money came in, but God asked me to give it out to two of my friends and contribute to their expenses as well. At first I had second thoughts…but I obeyed!
In total I gave away 150,000/- It was all by faith. Believing that God would multiply it as He said would happen in His word.
Obedience: The Fourth Act
It was around May 31st, I had 200,000/- on me but on paying it, I still had a balance of 1.2million towards my accommodation & air ticket combined. The flight was on 4th June,3 days away.
I was told by the airport that my seat would be given if I’d not deposited at most six hundred thousand shillings by the following day.
As I prayed, God directed me to open my 2018 journal. I accidentally landed on the part where I had written the prophecy…
That I’d be on a plane...
That was it! I received an assurance that whether the plane liked it or not, I would still be on it! So I stood up, and danced.
Suddenly, I received a hundred thousand shillings that very night, a debt being paid, 400,000 shillings the following morning and then a hundred thousand shillings later that day before the deadline of midday that I had been given by the airline, that ‘I must have paid 600,000/- to have my seat preserved’
The End of Faith
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Now, The substance was the prophecy. What I hoped for was the airplane. The evidence was the word of prophecy, the thing not seen was the airplane.
I do not know what you are going through today, maybe economic depression, perhaps you need a child, perhaps an increase…and so on & so forth…
This story is here to encourage you.
Firstly don’t take the words God tells you lightly. Note them down. No wonder that’s why the bible was written. These shall always remind you what God promised, or what He’s done in the past that can keep you trusting Him for the future!
Secondly, obey! Notice that for every instruction God gave me, I executed it immediately! There was no room for NEGOTIATION.
IMAGINE IF I HAD REFUSED TO OBEY, would I have gone onto the plane? Imagine if Noah refused to complete the ark, would he have survived the floods? Imagine if Abraham had refused to leave Ur, would He have become the father of nations?
The good news is, God provides grace to stand for whoever he requires radical obedience from! He’s waiting on you to obey. Your miracle lies in your obedience!
My story ended thus, remember I giving out the 150,000/-? Well, I received a total of more than 835,000/- from random people! Many contributed freely to my trip and I had more than enough upkeep for my getaway in Kenya.
God still does marvelous things today, brethren, but the secret to all of them, is obeying & accepting the little faith invitations He sends you!
James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without actions (works, deeds, obedience) is dead?
Happy faithing & obeying!
Love this act of faith, very encouraging.
