Give to Caesar what Belongs to Caesar!

In Harvest Institute, a leaders’ one-year long course, a module required us to split questions and attend to them in smaller groups, then compile different views into a report and forward it. I was the group leader of my assessment group of about 22 people and thus, my responsibility was to compile these and email them to the facilitator.

We had about 6 hours to the deadline. The WhatsApp group had a lot going on. The picture in my mind was like how the McCallister family rushed helter-skelter while running late for their family vacation in the movie Home Alone. People began to panic! I was calm. People began to call me to remind me to do what I already knew I had to do. I remained calm. So much anxiety was ensuing. I remained calm, as I did background work and forwarded the email 30 minutes before the deadline.
God said to me vividly,

‘Many of my children are like this. Reminding me of what I’m supposed to do. Worse yet, they do not have the faith eyes to see that before I made them in their wombs, I had already met the need they are reminding me of. May they learn to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to me what belongs to me!’

To add onto God’s echoing, I beseech thee to cast your cares upon Him. The only reason why you are stressed or worried is because you are still holding onto things and responsibilities that you ought to have turned over to Him. Be still and know He is God. He does not need reminding Him of what He already knows He has to do!

How many of you parents like your children reminding you that they need to eat breakfast the following day! By default you know you have to provide! He knows how much you need that daily bread. Just give thanks for His provision in advance and…
