Everything Begins With A Word

O how I knew John 1:1-4. Until today when the very batch pulled the carpet under my feet and my familiarity fell. The whole piece goes like;

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

I attended an Exegesis class recently. This is the explanation of a text. Now I used to think this text was talking about ‘God’. But in actual context, it’s talking about ‘The Word.’ It’s the subject matter here.

So the Word was with God in the beginning. Nothing else is said to have been with God in the beginning. As my eyes lingered at that portion of scripture, light flooded them.

In further explanation, this is another way to read the portion of verse 3;

All things were made through the word, and without the word nothing was made that was made.

Come to think about it in the world today;

‘Let’s make a baby,’ ‘let’s start a family,’ are some of the words said, before a change that will forever make the normal cease in the sayers’ life…

A billion other phrases are said and creation follows. Among others, these are;

Let’s make a phone we’ll call ‘iPhone’, I want to start a delivery business, I believe humans can fly, I want to make a source of light other than a lamp that runs on fuel, let’s start a band, let’s make a brand, I can do it, I’ll have saved 100M before this year ends…

Notice how it all begins with simple words and still note that these are mere words.

But, if anything can begin with mere words, how much more THE Word. The difference between mere words & the Word is; humans many times have to back up what they speak with deeds while the Word doesn’t need human intervention to perform what’s been said for it has power in its very self to bring to pass what has been said!

That’s why to crossover from being a vessel that talks mere words, to one that talks that which BECOMES, can only be done by recreation.

Recreation is getting born again by that very same word. And as the saying goes that dogs beget dogs and humans, humans, the word begets the word. You are a result; a nature, the very same as the word when you get born again.

Now imagine what happens when you declare such, ‘Wealth and riches are in my house’ (Psalm 112:3) ‘I inherited the entire world’ (Rom 4:13) ‘I lend to nations and never need to borrow’ (Deut 28:12) ‘All I do prospers’ (Psalm 1:3) ‘Demons leave before I arrive’ (Mark 16:17) ‘By His stripes I was healed’ (1 Pet 2:24) ‘Sickness can’t exist in the same atmosphere as I’ (Mark 16:18)

These are not mere words but the word itself. It comes to pass when mixed with faith!

What will happen to you next is,

Even if you say words not quoted as perfectly from the bible, but as long as you fully comprehend that you’ve been born of this very same word that was with God IN THE BEGINNING, then all you say will be blessed, packaged, wrapped and enforced with life!

God said ‘Let there be light’ and it became. The word that was spoken was what was with God in the beginning. (John 1:1) It is His very same nature; ALIVE (Heb 4:12-13), UNFAILING (Isa 55:10-11) & what you’re born of!

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Everything begins with a word. But you are born of The Word that God used in the very beginning;

Speak what you want to see, and it shall be established!

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light ~ Genesis 1:3
