A Dialogue With The Devil…

So last week I was watching a series… It’s entitled God Friended Me. I know I might turn some tables tonight. But Woe unto me if I don’t preach the Gospel…

At some point in the series, A reverend has his daughter come out as a lesbian. And when his son asks him what he thinks about it, he says ‘Well, you just let your children be whoever they want!’

HO!

So, just like the devil came for Jesus whilst he fasted in the wilderness, the devil came to me and whispered with all his wit.

“So, what will you do, if your child comes out like that or comes out that way?”

The anger that boiled out of me that day, no volcano’s magma can ever amount! Steam was blowing out each of my ear holes! And even if I was angry enough to move heaven…that anger didn’t seem to move the devil.

Thank God for the Word! It’s my nature (1 Pet 1:23), and so immediately, it came forth and presented itself as my rescue! I smiled at the devil and said,

“Isn’t it written…”

The devil’s smile shortened.

“That my children shall be taught of the Lord…” (Isaiah 54:13)

The devil stood up.

“Isn’t it written that their peace shall be great… Meaning they won’t have to be worried about the fake cultures you’re bringing up and if God is their teacher, him picking a leaf from your book has a probability of zero out of zero!”

Right about now the devil had moved a few metres away from me… fully regretting why he’d even bothered talking trash.

“Do you want some more?” I asked. “It is written….”

Those three words stir raucous in his ears. They spin him around. The word makes his world lose gravity. He couldn’t bare it any longer. He vanished out of my presence.

Don’t let your children be snatched by Him. Grow them by the Word. Don’t let your spouses be snatched by His lies. Love them by the Word! Don’t let God’s promises to you be corrupted by his shenanigans. Guard them by The Word!

The word is the only weapon that can cut the enemy into half. It’s the best rod that won’t spare the spoiling of your child. It’s the best beacon by which you can attract that spouse (For those not married yet) or keep that spouse (For those married)
