Genesis 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
In the Book of Revelation, it is said God shall give you a name only you will know. In the Bible, we see several of our ancestors have name changes. Abram to Abraham, Jacob to Israel, Simon to Peter etc…
All these came as a result of a call or a purpose beforehand or a revelation. Now one time in February 2019, I took my best friend and my best friend’s sibling along with my sibling who was my best friend’s sibling’s best friend. (Haha, the commotion here)
We went out to KFC. And as we ate, we grew more want. Suddenly we all wanted sticky wings! And my mind had began pulling out its misery moves.
‘That’s enough for today…’
‘You’re going to get broke nigger…’
‘What’s with you with being too good to people?’
Amidst the bickering from my mind I vividly heard God say,
‘O ye Overflow Child…’
Immediately, I became all ears.
He added, ‘Why limit me, all things are yours, why then worry. When will you use up all the gold I have in store for you? Now is one of those times…‘
Ayaya… You guys, you should have seen me drawing out my wallet! What God meant here was that, I overflow. My cup overflows. My finances overflow. (Psa 16:5) That was a lesson learnt, and whenever I find myself in such a situation, I remind myself this name that God has called me ‘Overflow Child’
At the end of the previous year, I heard God call me another name. ‘Holy Ghost Child.’ This came from the theme of Jesus. How Mary conceived Him by The Holy Spirit. How He was filled with the Holy Spirit at such a young age!
Of course I never grasped its full potential. Its full depth, but this one thing I did. I accepted that name! Time to time I hear God call me up by that and I gladly respond.
Now check this effect…
In January, within the first week, a great friend of mine was sharing over a call with me. She had been waiting 9 long years for a child. She was now expectant! A miracle had occurred.
The news was so great that I was propelled into the prophecy dimension on short notice. This is what I spoke, ‘Your child shall be called A Holy Ghost child! He’ll be what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, what no mind has perceived.’
She was grateful. She received the words. Weeks later, during a praying and fasting service, God led me to walk up to another woman, who was as well pregnant. I laid my hands on her womb.
The same words came out of my mouth as I prophesied. Immediately, I sensed a pattern. That very day, by the Spirit, I was able to locate another pregnant lady, who I spoke to the same words.
I didn’t have a script. But in my praying, those words automatically found their way out of my mouth at some point during the uttering. Time to time new phrases popped out. For example ‘Your child, as we speak now, gets filled with the Holy Ghost…’
In total 4 pregnant ladies received impartations for their unborns. God sat me down later, and explained everything. He said, ‘All that’s happened is due to the name I gave you.’
Many times we may not understand the things God does… but I pray we trust what He’s doing. I have learnt that there’s purpose behind the name God gives you. Abraham is still a father of nations. Peter is still the rock on which the church was built.
And I am still, a Holy Ghost Child. And 4 wombs have had that translated unto them. If perhaps any of those wombs had twins, that doubles the blessing. But come to think of it… Those children are going to be peculiar, and that’ll lead to the impact of their families, friends and also the children they’ll produce and their grand children as well.
That means, a generation has been saved. Reconciliation has been made. God can’t worry about what the enemy can try to do. Those children have been set apart, they will not get lost, their purposes will present themselves to them on a silver platter. They’ll be lights of the world. And all that was proclaimed over them will come to pass…
This comes back to the name I was called and accepted. We all have some names we’d love to be called and if not, we won’t respond! I have a question though…
What name has God given you? What has He called you?
Accept It!
It may not be specific, but you can begin with the basics. That’s to say Has God called you His Beloved? Accept it! Has He called you His Righteousness? Accept it! Has He called you Spotless? Accept it!
A woman, a man, a child and a generation out there has its essence and fate, purpose and future depending on your acceptance of the name God has called you!
Deny it and you’ll leave thousands of lives hanging in the balance….
