Genesis 18:17 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham [My friend and servant] what I am going to do,
When God tells you whatever He’s about to do, He trusts you! Trust is a vital feature of a Covenant Relationship.
(If you have no idea what I’m talking about please read this before you continue https://biggiesbigblogs.wordpress.com/2020/02/18/spare-not/ )
Trust with God is built! It’s one thing to look to God as a father and it’s another to look to him as a friend! It’s marvelous when we look to Him as both father and friend! I’m friend to many and there are many things they’ve told me that they haven’t told their fathers!
God desires the friendship title with you because He wants all in. All the little stories you’ll tell, He doesn’t want to miss out the slightest bit of them all!
It’s one thing to Trust God with all your heart and lean not on your understanding (Prov 3:5) It’s another for God to TRUST YOU!
God trusted Abraham to kill His only son! When God trusts you, your end appears in His mind! How? Let me elaborate! When God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, God saw the future, He saw Abraham kill his son. Though Abraham hadn’t done it, in God’s mind it appeared done, after all He can see the future!
He stopped Abraham from slaying his child. Abraham obtained an A in the field of Trust with God! Such things excite God. This causes a friendship with God to go deeper! When God trusts you, He then begins to upgrade what He gives to you!
He’ll give you nations when you ask for a child. There’s no point in time where Abraham asked for nations! No! God presented the gift all by Himself! This only happens when God trusts you!
When God trusts you; You ought to be walking in the Laws of Covenant Relationship! (Hope you read the article to which the link shared earlier led you) Abraham applied these laws! He believed that what was God’s was his and what was his was God’s.
God gave him Isaac, so in Abraham’s mind, He was returning what was God’s, though it was His. What you own under this Covenant Relationship is co-shared!
Apart from you, God has access to your bank account just like you have access to His! You can choose to withdraw whatever amount you want from His account, but be ready when He comes to get something small from yours!
Abraham also applied the second law, which is Obedience! He obeyed when God asked Him to sacrifice Isaac.
Now you might ask, what’s the point of this. The point is; God won’t ask you to sacrifice your son today but He’s going to ask you to sacrifice your finances! (Hehehe) Today, our finances are our Isaacs!
The more of your finances you place on the altar, the more God elevates you. Let me take you deeper! You won’t claim just by word that you trust God! Trust is more than words, it’s deeds! When you claim to trust Him, you’ll have to obey Him!
When you obey God, He’ll trust you more! Mr. Rockefeller claimed that He’d not have tithed as a billionaire if He didn’t begin as a hundred-aire… You see, it’s a process. I am a witness! Finances are the smallest unit of trust! Begin with whatever small you have, and God will trust you with bigger!
If you obey God with your finances, He’ll trust you with much other crucial matters! Matters like nations! Matters like souls! The other day He asked me to give 90% of the cash I had left on me! (Sounded like reverse tithing)… Boy I hadn’t seen that one coming, but He himself aided me to give it!
After so, I heard Him whisper, “Now I know that I can trust with thousands of souls!” A sacrifice of shillings just obtained me nations of souls! Does that make sense? I don’t know! I’m sharing with you how our finances are a means by which God can trust us more!
Before I gave my first fruit for the first time, God unleashed the windows of heaven over me. Deals located me before I actually gave it! Like God had seen Abraham’s end He assured me of how He’d already seen me give it in the future, and so could not hold Himself back any longer! “I trust you!” He said!
Child, He’s saying the same thing to you. He trusts you! Do you feel He’s asking much of you, He won’t ask you more than you can give. There’s a grace He makes available when such moments come!
One thing’s for sure, when He dares you and asks a favor of you, DO IT! (Keeping the Covenant Relationship Laws in mind) And know that once God asks you to do it, crazy increase and promotion, are what’s coming your way!
He moves at the point you make the DECISION to obey, and not at the IMPLEMENTATION of obedience!
What a read!!!!
