The Line Dimension

Psalms 16:6 The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good heritage.

When David said this, he wasn’t just talking about any lines, he meant lines as drawn from the perspective of the Spirit! Allow me to elaborate!

A normal line is first dimension! Basic shapes like squares and circles, rectangles and triangles are second dimension! These are paths a line can take!

Now the objects the shapes makes are third dimension! These include cuboids, pyramids, etcetera! Stars were lines that took a basic shape in God’s mind before He spoke them to be!

Every animal took a shape in His head because when we imagine things we basically see them by their outline. The Wright brothers first sketched an aeroplane using lines on paper before the planes became!

If you are to draw anything in your head, you can’t without lines! If you are to draw a building in your head, you can’t without lines!

This leads me to the point of our theme verse; Lines having fallen for you in pleasant places! That means your home (the dream building in your head that’s been drawn by lines) has fallen in pleasant places! It shall be a city on a hill! Peaceful and palace-ly!

Roads are two parallel lines with semi-detached yellow/white lines dividing them in the middle! That means your paths are in pleasant places. You won’t have accidents! If they come you’ll be unscathed—not even a scratch! Why? Accidents are not ‘pleasant places’. The path to your future is bright and God’s filled all potholes you’d have encountered!

Everything begins with the line dimension! As long as it’s involving your mind! Psalms takes it a notch higher and says it’s the lines themselves that have already fallen for you. They’ve already aligned themselves for you IN PLEASANT PLACES! Pleasant things are all yours (1 Cor 3:21) You just need to SPEAK them to be!

Stop for a moment and imagine what a pleasant place means to you! Is it wealthy environments, is it prosperous economies? That’s where your lines have fallen! Your children’s picture in your mind is made of lines.

That means they have fallen as well in pleasant places. They won’t suffer! They shall be mentioned about in the gates of cities. The word ‘job’ is written by lines in your mind. Your job is flourishing in pleasant places…

All your life is made up of lines somehow. Your body is many lines together. Your house is many shapes together. Everything that concerns you is a collection of shapes and objects whose basic unit are lines. This means all your life is in pleasant places!

In Hebrew, the word ‘lines’ means several things. Here are some of the meanings; ranks, systems, opinions, life course, lineage, boundaries, etc.

Imagine the understanding of the thought that your lineage, systems, life course have all been aligned to places of pleasantry. The word pleasant means ‘giving a sense of happy satisfaction or enjoyment.‘

Your life, your lineage, your systems, and all that concern you have fallen in places that give a sense of happiness & enjoyment and not sadness!

Isn’t this good news!
