It was Thursday night. I received some cash that someone long owed me. It was note there. You have to understand that I had taken so long without cash… And so I was determined to make this note count!
Fast forward, I keep moving around. Serving holy communion, helping to collect offertory, etc. When I returned home, I checked my pockets…the note was gone!
I tried as much to check all other pockets, but it was gone! Oh I was hurt. But before I could whine, I heard God clearly say; “It dropped and the person who picked it had no transport back to their residence.”
Now I don’t need a cab to get to my home. It’s walkable. I believed God’s word to me as I remember a word of knowledge going out that day by the prayer facilitator on stage that ‘Someone has come here with their last transport…’
I gladly hope that the person being talked about was he or she into whose hands my money landed!
At such times it’s hard to believe scriptures like Rom 8:28. Okay let’s say it was the devil’s plan that I’d lose my cash! God would still turn it around! Even if it was our personal decisions that led to our loss, God promises that we’d get double what we lost!
Isaiah 61:7 Instead of your shame [you shall have] double [honor,] And [instead of] confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.
How we lose it doesn’t matter! What will lead us to recover all that’s lost is how we respond to the situation. If we respond by faith, God’s word takes action all by itself, to ensure you get double you lost!
Job lost it all and still got double what he lost! He responded with faith! I pray the Spirit of God will tell you why you lost some things, or if you accidentally lost them, may He guide you to act with faith on this word that guarantees double whatever you lose.
For shame often proceeds loss! And God’s double proceeds your faith! When you understand this, you can never lose or count a loss again in this life!
For my sake, God told of where the money went! But if you know not the path through which the thief came in by to cause the loss, believe that your Father saw it all, and whatever you lost shall return times two!
Trust His word. It always brings to accomplishment what it states!
Wow! I could totally relate with your experience. I once lost a fifty thousand UG.X note. As you can imagine, I couldn’t get over it. I retraced my foot steps back to wherever I walked. I couldn’t find it,and neither could I find the taxi I had used to get back. Responding with faith could have been a better option, like Job did.
