I have a theory following Abraham and Lot’s relationship. It was the same as Jacob and Laban’s. One had the blessing, and the other was a beneficiary as long as they stayed in proximity with the subject.
Abraham and Lot had to separate because their shepherds had began wrangles due to the vastness of each one’s flocks. Lot eventually chose the appeasing land in Sodom and Gomorrah, and the story ends with him surviving with only his two daughters.
What happened to the flocks? What happened to the servants that were fighting with Abraham’s? What happened to his wealth?
The covering grace must be so important. The righteous one in charge of the blessing flowing must be significant.
I apply this effect to a field I have observed in the world today. I remember when Nigerians began taking over the music scene. At first, the secular artists seemed to be of renown. And at about the same time, more preachers were rising in Nigeria. Eventually, the gospel artists broke through as well, and the number of the latter versus the secular seemed to come to a tie.
God makes it rain on both the wicked and the just. In the same sense, I believe when a righteous nation prays, the creativity will not only be hindered to the holy arts alone. The effect will spill allover.
In the last days, He said He’d pour out His spirit upon all flesh. He didn’t limit it to only holy or righteous flesh.
So as we see Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, Lawrence Oyor, Moses Bliss, Sinach or Mercy Chinwo … We also see Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Omah Lay, Ayra Starr and Tems. Each have become international over time, and I deduce that one group is representative of Lot, and the other Abraham. One is representative of Aaron, and the other Israel. One is representative of Judah — whose praise must go first.
Indecency and other immoral acts aside, I believe God desires to use His goodness to cause the other lot to come to repentance. If He only made it rain on the just, then the ‘wicked’ would have a good reason to shun Him.
Let’s also remember that God doesn’t will any man to perish. He died that whosoever would believe on Him would have everlasting life. And … He did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:17)
Humans are big on influence as well. If whoever they listen to turns, there’s a high probability of them turning, or considering to turn, or a seed being planted in them.
Proverbs says, through the blessing of the righteous, the city is EXALTED! (Prov 11:11) The blessing won’t segregate. All will rise.
Trouble will show up however, when the righteous neglect prayer. It won’t only affect them, but the entire city — but the entire nation. God placed watchmen which may continually mention a city or a nation’s name that He would not rest until He makes a praise of it in the earth. (Isa 62:7) If they cease — then that’s it; save God finds a man who can stand in the gap.
The Israelites prospered in the war as long as Moses’ arms stayed up. So if you are Abraham in this situation, the nation is dependent on your ability to stand, lest the effect won’t pass.
Nathaniel Bassey prophesied at a gathering in 2024 of psalmists rising from Uganda — from the East of the continent. With time, I’ve observed a one Joshua Baraka going international.
This can only mean one thing …

Proverbs 11:10-11 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: And when the wicked perish, there is shouting. By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
