It was the morning of 14th August 2024, when the word of the Lord came to me, saying ‘The entrance of His word brings light.’ (Psalm 119:130)
I sat up on my bed. It was two something in the morning.
I began to meditate on light, and elements that revolve around it; we have eyes, we have windows, we have scripture.
Eyes! Not every open eye sees. Not every pupil lets in light! Zechariah saw the stone with seven eyes. (3:9) Jesus the Cornerstone!
But why all the seven! Aren’t two enough? Why are the cherubim made up of eyes? It seems, there is a degree of glory! A degree of glory that requires not only two or three or ten entrances of light! But countless! If the stone Zechariah saw had seven — if Jesus needed many inlets of light, then we must have, equally!
How many entrances of light have you? How much of His word have you allowed to enter? If you have allowed only one word to get in, you have one light. One bulb! But we all know even good houses have more than one window! They have more than one bulb! Remember windows (mostly) and eyes are the other elements that bring light into a building.
Arise and shine! For your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. If only one light has come, you will ascend by one glory. If many lights have come, you will be ascending from one glory to another speedily, or in many glories at once.
This calls for lights to shine at all times: both day and night. We are told to meditate on His word day and night. And let’s remember that both these have stars ruling them. The sun by day, the moon by night. If day and night have a master ruling them, then we too must have scriptures we are meditating on during day, and when we sleep.
The sun needs a certain degree of light to be the sun. You need a certain degree of light to be referred to as one who the glory of the Lord has risen upon. How bright is God? As a matter of fact, 2 Corinthians 3:18 reeducates saying we are not only a reflection of His glory, but radiators of that glory! We are no longer mere moons reflecting the sun! The sun has found home in us! And if you feel it hasn’t, the trick is to keep letting more light in!
It’s like a cup. It will be empty, yes. Put it under a faucet and water will enter in. With time, it will overflow, and then it’ll appear as if the water is originating from it to the environment around! Though this is symbolical, now imagine the tap has been embedded inside the cup’s bottom, and the piping is mysterious from an unseen source. That’s what’s become of us who’ve believed Him and whom He’s made home: the source being His Spirit, and rivers of living waters flowing out of our bellies.
Now eyes are windows to the soul; If the entrance of His word brings light, then for more entrance, you need more eyes. This is covered by meditation. One eye enables you to see that one time, in that parable, you were the prodigal son! And the Father embraced you so much … and another eye will show you that you can be the elder brother who stayed home, who jealousy infills, when another lost son returns home and is celebrated more than you.
One eye enables you to see Jonah’s actual story, and another enables you to perceive that He represented Jesus dying and rising after 3 days! one eye enables you to see Joseph interpreting the dreams of the baker and the cupbearer, another enables you see that the cupbearer is you, and the baker was Christ!
The path of the just is as the shining sun, shining brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. (Prov 4:18) Many christians confess this, but it doesn’t seem to be working in their lives. Could it be, that they haven’t invested in letting in more light? More revelation? More understanding? …
It could.
What’s the conclusion of the whole matter then?
I believe, reading more of His word, enables you to develop more spiritual eyes. Literally, some form of eye ball pops out your skin when you give yourself wholly to it. This means that His word gives vision. And it’s witnessed when Jesus opened blind eyes. It’s written that the miracle of opening blind eyes first happened only by Him. In the Old Testament entire, it had never happened! (John 9:32)
Jesus is the word made flesh. His entrance somehow brought light to the blind man! He Himself says “While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” (John 9:5)
After saying that, He said we are the light of the world too! (Matt 5:14) But for that to be fulfilled, we must follow the protocol, of letting His word in, and like the cup, we will become a source … Instead of water, instead of light, imagine the substance of the word itself. 1 Peter 1:23 says we have been born again of the incorruptible seed, which is this word of God, which lives and abides forever. Now imagine it flowing out of you like water.
Now, many read the word, and still say they do not understand. Or that it is boring. Or that it is contrary. Beside other reasons, I believe the main is the failure to involve the author of the Bible during its reading. The author is the third person of the Trinity. (2 Tim 3:16) And part of involving Him is by praying in Him, through tongues.
Paul wrote and said when we do so, we speak mysteries. (1 Cor 14:2) The Bible is a collection of mysteries; and as we pray in the Spirit, whether before, during or after reading the word, we uncover hidden caches of meanings. We get to understand His mind when He allowed topics such as are addressed in books like Song of Solomon.
I can’t understate this point; and I speak from experience. Paul wrote that He prayed in tongues more than the Corinthians (The first letter 14:18). It is no wonder that He wrote a third of the New Testament. He unlocked countless portals of light. He grew so many eyes and wrote to you what He saw and heard when God’s word ‘entered’!
Jesus just doesn’t want His word to enter you! He wants you to become it! He doesn’t want light to come into you! He wants you to become it! In that way, you become like Him! For His nature is the word. His nature is light. And it’s these two factors that enabled Him to create worlds (having added faith to the equation as Hebrews 11:3 states)!
By them you too can form your worlds! You too can form your own suns and moons; to rule over your days and nights!
(Sigh…)
Naughty and sly isn’t He?
All this time I thought this was merely about light and word. But no! It is about transforming you! It is about turning you into a god! As David prophesied; and as Paul was called.
GET INTO THE WORD!

Psalms 82:6 I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.”
Acts 14:11 Now when the people saw what Paul had done, they raised their voices, saying in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!” [Even if the goal is to make you a god, don’t allow men to worship you, read the entire Acts 14 for your understanding]
Acts 28:6 However, they were expecting that he would swell up or suddenly fall down dead (after a viper had bitten Paul). But after they had looked for a long time and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god.
II Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
