Positioning III

Ecclesiastes 10:7 I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.

From our theme scripture, we can see two types of people. We also see two types of transportation; or expectations of how each group of people should move. But we see the modes swapped, just like Jacob did over Ephraim and Manasseh. King Solomon seems to say, that it might not be a guarantee to live like a royal yet you were born into royalty. And, for a low life, it’s possible for them to come upon the rock ordained for princes, thus we must deal with whoever we term underprivileged wisely. For they’d be the ones riding horses tomorrow.

This is the final part of the positioning miniseries. Part one talked about the position of purpose/assignment while part two talked about the position of identity, and positioners. This will talk about dis-positioners, or things that can make one lose their place of true identity.

Being a christian doesn’t guarantee the fulfilment of God’s promises to you. It doesn’t guarantee the passing of prophecy (especially one that is tailor made for you). If a word comes instructing you to borrow as many jars of oil as you can, for your miracle oil, but you refuse … your sons will be taken as slaves by the creditors. Just as the theme scripture demonstrates a swap in positions (subjects) and positionings (transportation), that same thing can happen to any saint, if care is not taken in their walk.

At the back of your mind, understand that your position (noun) may not necessarily change while your positioning can dwindle. You will remain a prince, but will you live like one? The prodigal son was rich, and he lost it all. But he remembered his position of identity, that his father was a rich man and he’d save him from poverty. It was a matter of playing about with positioning and move from homelessness to home.

Positions of identity may not change (especially if a person is knowledgeable of those qualities), but these will affect one’s positioning. The former informs the latter. Joseph was favored. That didn’t change whether he was home, or under Potiphar’s house, or in the prison. He was a dreamer, but his positionings shifted fast from beloved, to pit, to slave, to house manager, to prison, to prime minister. Positions can hence influence positionings. Like Joseph’s dreaming and interpretation (his position as a prophet) led to his sitting in the office of prime ministership or vice presidency (since he was second after the king).

If one is ignorant of their identity, their positioning will be scattered and uninformed. God said His people perish because of a lack of knowledge. If you do not know your Father in heaven is so loving or rich, you’d spend your life afraid of Him, not bothering to ask — at all for things from Him because you think He is judgemental, or if you ask, you will ask for so small because you think He is limited in resources as you are. Your knowledge gap of His love for you and His wealth will reflect in your life. It will position you accordingly.

Thus,ignorance is one of those dis-positioners. Even if you are a royal priesthood, or a holy nation, that royalty will be questioned when men see you walking on foot, and yet you are meant to be on horse back.

The doctrine we listen to can contribute to our positions. We get dethroned from ‘seated in High places with Christ’ and settle for bare minimums. If the ignorant preacher says ‘Money is evil,’ the christians in attendance will roll with the misinterpretation. The verse says ‘the love for money is the root of all evil.’ Funny how many believe this until they realize they are always never having enough. Unless the Lord intervenes, many go astray and stay positioned in the realm of just enough, yet we are called to more than enough, to overflowing, to lending to many nations.

News flash: Heaven expects you to bear wealth not just to deal with your necessities, but for your community as well, the orphans, widows, the poor, underprivileged. Until you renew your mind, all you’ll be doing is to get by, and not dominating the earth.

Positions are interior while positionings are exterior. Something like jealousy may not be automatically seen, because it’s within, but the results of its actions can be;

Jealousy or envy of others is another dis-positioner and demoter. Cain killed Abel. He was tasked to wander. Lacking self control led to a loss of position by Esau to Jacob over a bowl of soup. Gehazi as well ran after gold and silver that his master had rejected from Namaan. His recompense was leprosy, and a missing of an inheritace from Elisha, as the next chariot and horseman of Israel. The same goes for Balaam, and Eve in the garden.

David’s not being where he was supposed to be (at the battlefield) led him to murder. He was enchanted by Bathsheba, lusted for her, one thing led to another, and then she got pregnant, yet her husband had been at the very battle David wasn’t at. When David tried to make it appear like he had been with Bathsheba, his plot failed, and to cover it all up, he orchestrated Uriah’s death.

Other than those entioned above, sin is one of the ultimate dis-positioner. It cut off the entire human race from God, but Jesus avails positioning back for any man who believes on Him. Unless one has Him, they will be sepaarted from God, even after they die. Which is a dangerous place to be. Jesus can restore you. We all were made by God, but only those with Jesus get a chance to get up on horseback. In this narrative, only one horse exists. If you embrace Jesus, you get on and cuddle behind him. No him, and your shoes will wear out and you will never go really far.

If that is you, there is a prayer at the end of Positioning II.

The otehr category of believers have their own versions of events where they fall off the horse, or choose to walk stubbornly instead of mounting the beast. For you, there are positioners waiting for you to practically engage them powerfully for your rising again. These include majorly; more knowledge of His word, (and others mentioned before) like prayer, sound doctrine, love etc …

May you be empowered by God’s Spirit, and be lifted again by Him to your rightful place: reigning in this life through Him, and nothing less. Being ABOVE ONLY and not beneath. In Jesus’ name.
