A Light Thing

2 Kings 3:18 And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand. (KJV‬‬)

And this is a simple matter in the sight of the Lord; (NKJV‬‬)

So there you are, desperately in need of something from God, or believing for a thing from Him. And it seems so hard or far from reach. It could be a job, a child, spouse or basic supply.

This is but a LIGHT thing in His sight!

First of all the lens by which God views it will put it in its perspective. We look at these things as matters of life and death; as though to say, if God doesn’t hasten, we won’t see the next day.

But once you see it as a LIGHT thing, as a simple small matter, ahhh [read in a sigh note], somehow, the power to cause anxiety is lost! The power of that issue to make you lose peace is stripped away, restoring your sanity.

Isaiah in chapter 14 talks about the devil’s actual size! We have been lied to that he has all this power; but the script says in verse 16 ‘They that see you shall narrowly look upon thee (they shall squint with disappointment) saying ‘is this the man that made the earth tremble?’’ Ever since I read this, I realized the disbelief many will have of the lies they were told, meaning; he was never that powerful!

This is the same with whatever issue you are facing. It never is that big to take you out! You have been here before, and you came out!

Refuse to aggrandize the issue wholly!

Refuse it to appear so insobok-able (Luganda slang for ‘impossible’) … for with man, it can seem impossible, but with God, all things are possible!

The Israelites thought it was their end when they encountered the red sea, but did He not make a way through the next second? He talked to Himself and laughed. He must have said “This is a light issue my children.”

The disciples were crying thinking they would sink. God the Son was deep asleep! He didn’t wake up to rant along. ‘Peace be still’ He said.

So tell yourself ‘this is a light issue.’ Heaven isn’t running up and down because of it! Continue to sit at His right hand, until that small issue is made a footstool. It, too shall pass!

So we thank you God, for the assurance that you reign in our lives, and us along with you. You even said you have already gone before us and leveled all mountains in our way. For that; we refuse to be moved! We receive peace of mind. For we know before we call, you already answered us and have gone before us making all crooked places straight!
