If someone redoes something you have already done; it only demonstrates a mark of inexcellence and mediocrity.
If your mother tells you to clean the house, but after you poured the water, you find her reaching under the couch and the bed, pulling out rubbish, and then wiping the tables and getting down the cobwebs … it’d make you feel like you did nothing.
It demoralizes and demotivates you.
Sometimes we are asked to repeat reports — to straighten whatever was askew; but if say your boss stops bothering you, it’d mean he is either tired of mentioning it over and over again or he thinks you are a nutshell!
That could cost you your job; or you’d be wondering why that promotion never comes through. In the Bible, Daniel had an excellent spirit, and thus; promotion came over and over again — simply, without much effort.
If you’d pray to God to fill you with this spirit; and perhaps be wise to understand how things should be done in a specific micro culture, then you’d be steps ahead.
Promotion comes from the Lord, and if He sees that you are not excellent in the little things, you’d have just proven that you are not worthy of promotion. Get the small things right. Go beyond ‘good.’ And you’ll be the one asking promotion to take it a notch down.
