Treasures of Darkness 2 | Hidden Riches of Secret Places

Genesis‬ ‭41‬:‭39‬-‭42‬, 45 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.” And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.” Then Pharaoh took his signet ring off his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand; and he clothed him in garments of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.”

And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-Paaneah. And he gave him as a wife Asenath, the daughter of Poti-Pherah priest of On. So Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

In Joseph’s story, we see that when he interprets Pharaoh’s dream, and provides a solution to the danger the dream warned about, he is not only allocated the responsibility to oversee the process but he is rewarded and promoted in bounds making him leap many orders and hierarchies to the top!

The Pharaoh grants him authority and prestige by giving him his royal ring and garments plus gold chain respectively.

Additionally, he gave Joseph a wife!

Now, many of us pray to God for jobs, or promotions, or high ranks or even spouses! But notice; Joseph got all of these in one instance! He interpreted something for a king; and forthwith, got a job, a promotion, high rank, and a wife! These privileges must have come along with a great house or estate! And carriages and chariots and more benefits and slaves for servants.

Even favor was part of the package such that when his family comes from Canaan, and he asks that they dwell in the best land of Egypt, Pharaoh allowed it!

Let us change strategy!

Joseph’s new name Zaphnath-Paaneah given by Pharaoh means ‘He who deciphered the hidden.’

Let’s ask God for the hidden riches of secret places and for the treasures of darkness (Isaiah 45:3) that we could decipher: Hidden riches of technology and innovation. Hidden riches of business. Hidden riches of Agriculture, and so much more. One of these in an instance can unlock gates of all other blessings into your life!

God in fact said He’d give us these. Let us ask Him instead to reveal what riches He has given us, that we may walk confident of them. Pretty much like how Joseph walked sure in his calling as a dreamer.

Interpreting one dream did not land him there! (As we see the cupbearer quickly forsook him) But interpreting one dream for one who matters will turn your life upside right! This however calls for a churning, a practice of that skill — or sharpening of your gift; for it will make room for you before kings! But before it does … it might have to make room for you before peasants!

Don’t fret of it! For one of those peasants could mention your name before the king, and you’ll be summoned immediately!

We see this kind of thing happen to Daniel after revealing what King Nebuchadnezzar dreamt, and even what the kings thereafter lacked closure about! The man was promoted so far that he stirred envy and jealousy from the Chaldeans in high ranks about!

May God place a distinct gift on you that will be required by kings! May He enable you sharpen whatever it is; that it will be ready when needed! May it unlock mysteries and save nations! And in that saving, may many or all your heart’s desires be granted! By way of your revelation, wisdom, knowledge, excellence, talent or innovation!

Yes! The king is in need of your playful lyre dear David! We are glad you mastered the strings while tending the sheep!

May many of your unanswered prayers be answered by one action ordained by God! David’s hidden riches of the secret place included boldness and courage! Such that when everyone else cowered back at Goliath, his powered-by-covenant boldness stood up to the bully! And the king gave him a great monetary recompense and his own daughter for wife as reward! See? Instead of praying for that particular item, it’d come on a silver platter by way of something else! Effortlessly!

And for David’s case, understand that this was a pivotal point for the rest of his bloodline! He married the king’s daughter! That translated him from a pauper to a prince! He was now royalty, and all his descendants would be! He just didn’t get a wife! His status changed! This is powerful! O that God would give you hidden riches from that secret place of communion with Him!

May you receive the ear of the learned as well, that you may hear whatever He instructs you to do, or the secrets His Spirit desires to share with you! And that you may have magnificent sight to see into darkness, every manner of treasure! For after all, you are the light of the world, and when you descend, the darkness cannot comprehend you!
