Give Grace

Many christians out here posting discouraging content about other believers, or the faith in general.

Someone wrote, ‘You’d attend church every Sunday, read your Bible everyday, and still not be saved!’

Even if that could be true, did they bother clarifying the meaning of being saved? What is it? If they had added this, perhaps the person who needed to hear that could have learned, and fallen in line. But if I were they, I’d feel like my efforts to know God were useless!

If such a post was being targeted to the Pharisees — well and good. But let’s remember that Jesus died for them too. And teachers of Judaism like Saul eventually turned too!

Others post ‘Many christians out here — just full of leaves, but no fruit! Clouds above but with no rain.’

Though these draw their inspiration from the Bible, God showed me something from the jackfruit tree at home. For about seven years it grew but not a single jackfruit budded. Suddenly, fruit has popped out of its branches and stem this recent year; and we can’t wait to harvest it.

Leaves help in the photosynthesis of plants, thus a tree with many should even be praised.

The other example I’d give to critics for what they are doing would be, mocking a young girl that she is not female because she has no breasts!

Hello! They will come in her teen age! Not at 6!

Sadly, that is what is being taken to the streets.

What if the fig tree Jesus cursed was also in its pre-teen ages, and not fully mature to even give its first fruit. What if it was like those girls who look so big, that people confuse them to be 16, yet they are twelve!

May God help those who seem advanced in spiritual things to give or extend grace to … and be patient with those who have just began their faith journey and walk. And to be slow to speak or get angry. But to give more and more grace.

  1. More grace…..it all grace…thanks for sharing

Most times people tend to forget they were never born perfect

it’s all grace and God’s loving patience that enables us and the reason we are where we are.

If you can extend a hand, just like Hosea stay there and pray for that person rather than isolating them

    More grace 🙏
