I used to have bleeding gum. Whenever I used to brush my teeth, I used to declare and decree, “By His stripes I was healed!” But the only reason why the bleeding lessened was when I didn’t incur a lot of force on the brush, or if I completely, majestically brushed over the teeth.
I even testified about it! That I had stopped bleeding. But that was before I had ascertained its recovery.
Last year, part of my gum swell! There was a lump under my tongue. It was stiff, and it had just sprouted that random morning. My brain described it as goitre, but within the mouth!
I rushed to the dentist who I had last seen in 2019. And even then it wasn’t a thorough check. Before then, I had last seen a dentist around 2004. I hated them! My mom tricked me to going to one of them, and the injection within my mouth and the pliers were the worst experience for 7 year old Biggie!
About the gum cancer, the dentist checked it out, and concluded.
“You have dental plaque.”
This is a normal condition where a sticky film of bacteria overtime forms on your teeth or in some corners and causes new layers upon teeth. Sadly for me, it had sunk between some of the teeth bones and the gum, separating the two, and exposing the blood vessels within; thus the bleeding when I vigorously brushed.
The solution was a simple cleaning of the teeth using special instruments! I undertook this, and I was given hydrogen peroxide to rinse my mouth with regularly, to stabilize the gum again. After treatment for a month or two, my gum has never bled again.
This time the testimony is sure!
I say this recalling what Jesus told the lepers when they came to Him. Perhaps, before you conclude about your situation in your mind, go to the physician (represented by the priest to the lepers who examined them to ascertain whole cleansing) to analyze your issue.
After knowing, you can deal with it accordingly. I was rebuking the spirit of bleeding, and yet my teeth just needed special dental care. The issue could be less than it is. Or it could be more.
The lump may just be a boil, but the devil may convince you that it is cancer. Or the vice versa might be true. If it needs that medical check, go have it; then you can pray accordingly, Apostle Selman advises. Lest you become like me and bind demons of pulp cavities that don’t exist!
I once had migraines that never stopped, and I always hammered them back with paracetamols! My doctor cousin and cousin-in-law told me it was stress, and dehydration. I drank more water regularly, and it proved them true.
Don’t join the list of God’s people that perish due to lack of knowledge! Go show yourself to the physician where need arises.
