Stirring 2

Haggai‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ ‭So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the Lord of hosts, their God.

We need a stirring of our spirits, that we might effectively minister and fulfill our calls! Without His stirring we will struggle. Without it, we will not ‘come and work’. Those that have been successful in their callings; that went before us, never made it by their own individual strength. ‘The Spirit of the Lord was upon them.’

Their accomplishments were not necessarily a work by them, but someone else. Someone who can’t grow weary. Someone who can’t burn out. Someone who doesn’t slumber.

The good news is; that Someone dwells within us now. He is in you and I to stir us up! To stir us to pray, to fast, to minister, to withstand, to forgive, to praise in the storm, to be faithful, to mother, to father, to love, to do, to deliver work, to rejoice, & to fight the good fight of faith!

The stirring is that feeling when you notice that you have done it all, and yet so effortlessly! For the Omnipotent One works in you both to will and to do! Not by your power nor by your might… but by His Spirit.

May He stir you up, for your next step in life. May He stir up His courage, to swirl and manifest in you. May He stir you to ‘come and work on the good plans He has for you: plans to prosper you.’ May He stir your spirit this year; to be the salt and the light of the world. May He stir your light and rising that nations and kings may come to them respectively.

To His glory and praise.
