In the Manner of Simeon …

And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭25‬-‭26‬

This Christmas, I pray for you, like in the manner of Simeon, that the Lord reveals to you what is pertinent to your life. May His Spirit reveal your career path. May He reveal your next step in life. There will be no dead ends for you. It should not be that you are among those that try and error.

You will hear His voice, sweetly telling you to turn to the left or to the right. Before you call He will have answered. Before you speak He would have heard. May He reveal your spouse if you are unmarried and yet desire it. May He reveal things pertaining your children born and unborn. May He reveal their names, their career paths and what they are meant to be — like He did to Mary through Gabriel.

May He reveal your Canaan. May He reveal to you your promised land. That you may not desire Sodom and Gomorrah however pleasing to the eye they might look. Like Abraham, He reveals judgements to you, that you might plead for your Lot.

Like Joseph may He reveal to you the meanings of Pharaoh’s dreams; which will lead to your promotion! Like Daniel may He reveal the hidden riches of secret places, that you might appease angry Nebuchadnezzars, and save the lives of many who could not reveal or interpret their dreams.

Like Elisha, may God reveal the secret things that kings discuss in their bedrooms — not to embarrass the kings; but in case they are needful to you, (things such as what will be asked in the exam, or in the interview) may they be plain to you.

And just like Simeon never died before seeing the Lord’s Christ, may your family and loved ones not see death before they receive Jesus. We extend the covering of long life that they’ll get eternal life — the knowing of God and His one son Jesus, and enjoy every fruit of salvation, and after a long good life; after being blessed in all things as Abraham, then they will depart in peace.

Amen and Amen!

Merry Christmas! ✝️
