I like photography. O how I love capturing suns and sunsets and clouds and birds and rains and smiles!

One time, at an annual family reunion I cajoled everyone for a group photo. It was quite late, and one sister brushed me off for loving photos; and that I should let people go. As a result, we had no group photo taken, and life went on.
Later, I was feeling bad for taking photos. And God came to me, ever so gently; sitting by my side and said,
‘It is the responsibility of the prophets to preserve. Do not feel bad about the photography; for by it, you preserve moments and memories by capturing them! When you do, people look back and say ‘what a day this was.’ There is evidence of that day. The prophetic in you, always drives you to that; for writing is not the only way to preserve…’
If the prophets did not write, we would not have had the Bible written. This always encourages that gift in me. God needed it! And I believe He still does! And can you see how a hobby — how a talent — can translate into something of eternal significance!
So, maybe you love that particular thing; and it maybe way deeper under wraps than what meets the eye. Maybe it’s entangled with your God-given office, or purpose.
I therefore pray, that God has that conversation with you; that He comes sit by your side, ever so gently, and reveal the connections and strands between your talents and passions with His predestined purposes for you, opening your eyes to the tools He has already given you to empower your calling.
Great post Biggie.
