‘Silver and gold I don’t have. But what I do have I give to thee. In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’
These were the words of Peter the Apostle, shortly before he made a crippled man walk. In a fellowship yesterday, someone pointed out that you can’t give what you don’t have.
And I am here to ask, ‘what do you have?’
Paul gave us the word of His grace: to build us up and give us an inheritance among the saints.
The prophets gave us their visions even when they thought they were just writing to Israel. Joseph gave his interpretation and wisdom.
I have the writing prowess. I have God and I have His Spirit. I have conversations with Him, and the revelations I get of Him, I pen them and give to you!
God gave us His son! And His son gave Himself; And, after the father reconciling you to Himself, He placed in you something…
I may not know what it is, but surely, you won’t give something you do not have.
It could be God’s fullness, give of it! Grace for grace, give of it! Love? Give of it! Mantles? Give of them! Time? Give of it! Prayers? Give! Gold? Give! For it is much more blessed to give than to receive. But beyond the pressure of giving, we have been blinded of what we have, being asked to give what we do not!
O yes, some people have been asked to give a skin color they do not have; Straight hair! Slimmer or bigger features! And that makes them deprived of their individual glory
But … may God show you what He’s placed in you for the world as you indulge in intimacy with Him the next time you get! For like Joseph, the entire world (not only your family or Egypt) could be dependent on it!
And when God reveals it (or if He has), I pray you grow in it; expanding its territory of influence and being more and more confident of it; protecting it as well — jealously — from the likes of Delilah, if you are Samson.
Amen!🙏🙏
