Daniel 6:13-15 So they answered and said before the king, “That Daniel, who is one of the captives from Judah, does not show due regard for you, O king, or for the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.” And the king, when he heard these words, was greatly displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him. Then these men approached the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that [it is] the law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.”
I am amazed at the fact that even if Daniel’s haters succeeded in finding fault with him before the king, the king still loved him, and vouched for his innocence.
He was greatly displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
I imagine the most powerful man, LABORING in your behalf. Firstly the most powerful being — GOD, is KING, and He’s on your side! In Romans He asks; if He is on your side, who can dare be against you?
In Proverbs 16:7, He says He’ll cause your enemies to be at peace with you of your ways please Him. And in 21:1, He says the heart of the king is in HIS hands. It should not cause you to wonder then, that even if King Darius issued a decree that he did not know was going to work against Daniel or over turn, God made his heart beat for Daniel, and to think of how he’d save his head from the guillotine.
O May God cause your executive bosses’ hearts to be set on bailing you out in case you’ve been accused by those above you. When the branch managers choose to accuse you, may the CEO adjudicate you! May they spend sleepless nights until you are acquitted.
Now, in part one of I AM … OMEGA, I preached from Revelation 22:13; how God is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and end, the first and last; and how He wants to be YOUR Omega, your last and your end. Though the king failed to go back on the decree, he prayed for Daniel, and was convinced that where he failed, God would not.
Where your employer failed, where your money would not, where the doctor could not, God is ABLE!
Daniel 6:16-17 So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.” Then a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signets of his lords, that the purpose concerning Daniel might not be changed.
We all know how this dramatic episode ends. The den bore lions whose mouths were closed by an angel from the Lord. Daniel came out alive — miraculously!
God is the King over kings and He is your END! Only He determines your end and nothing else. The lions could not finish Daniel. The inferno could not finish his fellows. Haman could not finish Mordecai nor the Jews. Jezebel could not finish Elijah. Goliath could not David. The shipwreck could not finish Paul. The viper neither. Boiling oil could not kill John the Apostle. The grave could not finish Jesus. Death neither! The devil cannot finish you!
What dare threatens you today? What makes you think you have come to the end?
A heartbreak cannot end you! The divorce threats are not your end! God is! The land lord or lady cannot end you! You being disowned cannot be your end! Being fired isn’t your end! Cancer should not end you! You should not give it that power! Your end is not a circumstance! It is a Person! The most powerful being there has ever been and will ever be — is! Unless He says ‘it is the end,’ refuse it to be!
He was your beginning! Without Him, was not anything made, that was made! It only is law, and fair, for Him to be your end!
