One Day Closer!

One of my year’s theme scriptures was Ezekiel 12:23c-25, which says, ‘The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision. For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel (insert your name). For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, … will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.’

Today is the 183rd day of the year! We have 183 more days to 2025. But instead of being sad about how some goals set down haven’t been achieved yet, I approach it this way;

That each new day, I am one day closer to every vision God planted in my mind (not only for 2024) but for the future and my life entirely. That I am seeing God perform it today. And if not today, tomorrow! This has kept me hopeful, coming with a new joy every day, and faith to believe, that better days are yet to come.

Don’t cry that He’s delaying. No! Each day brings you closer to what He promised. Look at it as if you were pregnant. Each day, or month comes with new excitement. There is the scanning. Then the baby reveal. Then the baby shower. Then the nine months elapsing…

See? It gets better with more days passing by.

In the same manner, your marriage is a day closer. The houses you didn’t build filled with all beautiful things that God promised are a day closer! The cities you didn’t build, vineyards you didn’t plant, wells you didn’t dig, all promised by God are a day closer, if you haven’t received them yet! That prophecy given you is a day closer!

Your graduation is one day closer; your promotion, your car, your appointment letter, the manifestation of your assignment or calling, and any other good thing you can think of!

Don’t think the prophet lied when he anointed you king, O David. Today is a day closer to you seeing that; ignore your brothers’ teasing or mockery.

And … don’t be like some Israelites who were promised the same things but didn’t see the profit of it (or its manifestation) because they did not mix what they heard with faith! (Heb 4:2) You have to believe it is all one day closer!

So … Hope again! Smile again! Trust again! It’s about to manifest. He said the word and He’s performing it — or has performed it as you read this!

Happy New Month! Happy New Day!
