Finest of Wheat!

Psalms 147:14 He maketh peace [in] thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

Our God is not a mediocre God. I once preached from Isaiah 60, whither God mentioned that instead of stones He’ll give you iron. And instead of iron, He’ll give you silver. Instead of wood, He’ll give you bronze, and when you fully appreciate it, He’ll take you to the next level — gold.

That explained a process, whilst Psalm 147 gives it to you straight-up!

God does not just want to give you wheat — but the finest of it! He doesn’t just want to give you houses filled with all beautiful things, but the finest of houses . . . He doesn’t want to give you mere wells! Rather; finest of wells you didn’t dig! Some could be in bad shape! Ah . . . He has ‘best shape’ in store for you!

He doesn’t want to give you mere vineyards or plantations! But, the finest of them all. Cities you didn’t build? Well, even those; His word implies He wants to give you the finest of them.

Of lands flowing with milk and honey, God wants to give you those with the finest milk and finest honey! The synonyms for ‘finest’ include (but not limited to); first-class, first-rate, exceptional, outstanding, admirable, of high quality, supreme, superior, splendid, second to none, superb, and top-notch!

‘Second to none’ in this context means, what God will have given you will be the standard to which everybody else compares theirs. If it’s a house, they’ll all look forward to having something like yours. It’ll be the definition of their desire: worthy of admiration!

God doesn’t want to just give you a revelation; but the finest; which will make men halt in their wakes to listen and convey the wisdom therein. He doesn’t want to give you just ideas, but the finest of ideas!

The message version says; He keeps the peace at your borders, He puts the best bread on your tables. Best! Not second-class, not third-class, not seventh-class not medium quality — but best bread! Oh my!

He fills you with the finest of things!

He gives you the finest of things!

He satisfies your mouth with the finest of good things!

He daily loadeth thee with the finest of benefits!

O Praise be to God!

Genesis 47:5-6 then pharaoh spoke to joseph, saying, “your father and your brothers have come to you. the land of egypt [is] before you. have your father and brothers dwell in the best of the land; let them dwell in the land of goshen. and if you know [any] competent men among them, then make them chief herdsmen over my livestock.”

Esther 2:9 And the maiden pleased [Hegai] and obtained his favor. And he speedily gave her the things for her purification and her portion of food and the seven chosen maids to be given her from the king’s palace; and he removed her and her maids to the best [apartment] in the harem. (AMP)
