Today as I returned from a journey, I pulled out this note to pay the taxi conductor, along with another bigger note. I felt bad holding it. As you see, it is wizened though not super damaged completely. It had been crumpled mercilessly, that if one was more careless, it’d rip between the cracks.
Regardless, God said, “However seemingly destroyed this legal tender looks like, it is still valid! In the same way, however bad someone’s life might have turned out, it still has value!”
When I paid the fare, the note wasn’t rejected. It indeed still bore the value even if it didn’t look appealing!
It might be that someone reading this has been raped, or perhaps they didn’t get educated to the level they desired. Perhaps they are disabled to a degree, or they wear rags deep in the rural areas of Uganda or India. God takes the place of ‘Bank of Uganda’ and since He made that note (that person), He still recognizes the value He laid in that person — however unappealing they might be! Perhaps it’s you, and I haven’t mentioned your issue, but you know how crumpled you feel. Perhaps you’ve aborted a million times — sinned time and again!
Your maker says, “You still have value!”
So hold your head high! For at the understanding of this, at the mere ounce of confidence in this — in you — great exploits will you begin to do.
