For people who earn cash on a daily like me, and not just monthly, I have some advice for you!
Because the topic of tithe tends to target monthly salary, those who earn otherwise are oft ignored. I don’t blame some then if they choose to hoard onto the cash waiting for the end of the month!
The problem with that is: no one is that faithful. If income is earned online and in cash — even if I take note of all this in writing — there is a possibility that one can miss jotting down a specific payment.
I had almost taken my tithe today to the house of the Lord, when He reminded me of a last minute payment which came through yesterday evening. I had to recalculate the portion.
My advice then is that if possible, send the tithe by mobile means to your local church either within a space of a day, depending on how much it is, or three. Huge chunks of money were hitting my accounts recently, and I was reluctant.
When it was time to tithe (off 20% as I decided with the Lord), I found a huge amount going! I almost bargained that we returned to 10%. This is because I let it compound.
Meanwhile, I had been spending on other things like transport and shopping (and though other doctrines have said ‘tithe’ must be taken off first there and then, I won’t lie that I have done so, because it can be hard. However, I have determined never to rob God of His portion. In the event that I — say — use up all the cash received, I note the tithe of the Lord. When the next bunch comes, I don’t care if it all goes. I ensure that the previous debt with God is cleared including the tithe of that income that has just come in. For if we hate debts with men, how can we be comfortable having debts with the one who made all men!)
So if the income comes, tithe it off right away. Don’t wait for it to accumulate lest you’re tempted to defraud God by compromising on paying your vow! If you earned 10k today, and 5k for the rest of the four days, that’s a tithe of 3k. If you want to take it once on Sunday, (for some genuine reason) that is okay. But if you earn 200k at once, take the 20k off there and then.
I insist on this because money transfers nowadays are electronic. If you stay with the Lord’s money on your accounts, chances of it being used to cater for daily utilities is high. This consists of paying water or electric bills for instance.
Beyond my advice, may the Holy Spirit grant you wisdom on how to deal with this particular issue; for your earning might not be equivalent to your neighbor’s. But I hope this was helpful.

Malachi 3:8-9 ” Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘ In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, [Even] this whole nation.
