Ezekiel 2:9-10 Now when I looked, there was a hand stretched out to me; and behold, a scroll of a book [was] in it. Then He spread it before me; and [there was] writing on the inside and on the outside, and written on it [were] lamentations and mourning and woe.
I was reading this the umpteenth time when the ‘scroll’ part got to me.
God was explicitly saying that each of us has the capability to receive scrolls from above. For Ezekiel’s case, it had lamentations. For Hosea it had calls to repentance. And for you, it’d be anything;
It’d be the recipe to the next best meal. It’d be an idea of the next needed machine. It’d be an algorithm to the next needed software. It’d be characters of the next blockbuster movie. It’d be sermon that’s going to stop a disgusted person from taking their life.
For Rick Warren, it was the Purpose-Driven Life: an idea he testifies that came as a result of his additional tithing (adding one percent each year on the ten). It’s recorded that it’s been the most selling nonfiction book with 50 million copies sold by 2020, 18 years after its publication. Rick says he had to pay back his church all the salary he was given for the past decade or two, and then, cut himself off the church’s salary as the book sales were sufficient to tackle his needs moving forward. He was a full-time pastor hence the being employed by church.
That’s what a scroll from heaven can do…
It’d be a song like ‘You Say’ by Lauren Daigle. It sold 6 million units, making her a millionaire if a unit was sold say at 0.99 dollars.
All these ‘scrolls’ come in different ways. We may all bear gifts and talents, but not everyone with a talent is making impact on this earth plane. When we stay tuned to God’s presence through prayer, we position ourselves to receive such scrolls. When we tithe to Him, He promised to open up the windows of heaven unto us. When we read His word or fast, He said our light would spring forth; and this could be some sort of revelation — a scroll in disguise.
God has a scroll for you! It’d be key to saving millions of people. Stay tuned to Him.
