Favor for Life!

Psalms 30:5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime!

His favor LASTS a lifetime! Did you read that well and good? Read it again; His favor LASTS a lifetime!

I do hope you understand what ‘lifetime’ means. Here are some scenarios to paint a more proper picture;

God’s favor is not just for a moment. It’s not for only when you’re going for an exam. It’s not only in your spouse’s eyes. It’s on everything concerning you, everyday, every month, every year!

It’s on you in the city and in the country. It’s on you as you go in for the interview, and it’ll still be on you when you retire. It’s for LIFE! It’s as sure as the rising sun, as long as you still breathe.

Heck, even after you stop breathing, you’ll be ALIVE somewhere else. That’s still ‘a lifetime’, His favor shall still shine over you!Hallelujah!

It’s constant. It’s constant when you are on road. It’s constant when you are in air. If you get on a submarine, there it is with you. If you get onto a rocket, even there it shall be with you. You can’t be separated from it!

You’re favored in January, you’re favored in February. You’re favored in March. Yes even in those months that didn’t go as you expected, that favor was still there. And it’ll still be on you next year’s December!

Even when you’re in prison like Joseph, it’s still on you. Some despair, but let’s not forget that Joseph, even while in prison was put in charge of the entire facility. I hear he made the prison so prosperous that people who heard of it just wanted to commit crimes just to be taken there!

This favor is like the blessing. It’s not segregative of where you are or what color of skin you are! It’s constant and will remain as long as you breathe.

My emphasis is in times when we feel we’ve lost. The example that comes to mind is Ruth. Yes, she lost her husband, and she nearly returned to her birth home. But, when she followed Naomi, her Jewish mother-in-law, she landed herself a Boaz, who — by marriage — got her to be one of Jesus’ great grandmothers! She was also King David’s grandmother!

I can see her boasting in heaven, seeing how favor made it work for her good regardless of her widowhood. At a certain time, everything seemed hopeless. If you were in her shoes, you’d have thought that God’s favor left you — but it was still there all the way; subtle but knitting something much more grander. And now her pride is in what came out of her womb. Mighty, mighty seeds!

If you know God, I don’t care how bad whatever you’re going through is! His favor knows your name! The mantle of the preferred is still on you. And it’ll lift you up, from the miry clay, and set you upon a rock, that’s higher than you!

And it won’t do this only once in your life. It won’t do it twice. It’ll do it daily and forever! Even on the bad days, and bad times, you’re still favored!

Cheers again,
