He’ll Wipe Away Every Tear…

Revelation 21:4 God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away.

As I conclude the tribute series to my brother, my classmates sent me a letter bearing this scripture, and God drew my attention to ‘every tear’.

I then turn to ask you now: what tears have you cried. Was it due to strokes of cane by that rude teacher, who beat you up for something you didn’t do? Were they tears of heartbreak? You got dumped by him or her — and they got married to someone else yet you and them looked like a thing?

Are they tears of loss of a father or mother or relative or child or sister, or brother? Are they tears of pain, sickness, torture and injustice?

Well, whichever they are, God promises to wipe them ALL away. . .

But, must we wait for the ‘will’?

The Bible tells of the end saying we’ll look at the devil and the entire world will ask, ‘Is this the one who caused havoc on earth? This little thing?’ (Paraphrased; Isaiah 14:16-17)

I once elucidated that if we’ll be in disbelief then, we can carry that disbelief to today and treat him like he’ll be viewed that day: powerless — impuissant and feeble!

With the same degree, apply that to the ‘will’. To God, the past, the present and future are all ‘now’. If you’ve been begotten as His child, that makes you as spiritual as He is, meaning, you too can operate the way He does. And if so, then, we can believe that He’s wiping those tears now! Better yet, He’s wiped all those tears already!

Tears of sorrow, ignorance, longing, loneliness, past mistakes, regrets, miscarriages — all of them. And we must remember, that what He does; stands. (Psalms 33:9) If He opens a door, no man can close it. If He makes straight, no man can make crooked! If He heals, the scars won’t be traced. If He wipes, no kind of pain, or man can cause to flow again!

If they provoke you again, you’ll find that you’ve forgiven them; that you are above them! Even the enemy will need a new strategy by which to provoke you out of tranquility. This isn’t your boyfriend wiping your tears. This isn’t your spouse passing you a hanky.

This is the maker of tears wiping your tears; commanding those of sorrow to extirpate and expunge, allowing only those of joy to remain.

So go ahead and cry your last tear! If you believe, He’s there by reason of His word to wipe all that hurt away! 😪

Babies always cry when they are hungry or when a toy has been misplaced. But those tears cease once a breast nipple is brought to mouth, or if the toy is placed back into their hands. It’s the same with us: the tears are as a result of different things, and God — like the good father He is — is sorting out or has sorted out (since we said we should function in His timing) everything that’s (been) causing you to cry.

And just like that baby, rain will actually fall only from the sky, and not from your eyes. 🤗
