Before you Call…

I had done some work for a company, and my payment from them was long overdue. I delivered on 24th February, on short notice.

Funds were promised the following Friday, 3rd March. I had forwarded all necessary documents required the day before.

Still it took long. I’d been told the money takes 4-5 days to reflect officially. I counted starting Saturday.

On the Friday the 10th, I was exhausted. Tired of asking God to remind my debtors…

Just then He impressed it on my heart to check my e-mail.

Lo, there was the e-bank message reflecting a debit transaction of the amount I had been owed. The message had come the day before at 4:58pm. For close to twenty four hours, I hadn’t known that I had been paid.

God then whispered to me, saying, “Before you were about to call again, I had already answered you.”

This is to encourage you, if you’ve been praying about something for long; carry this attitude. That it’s already been answered. Don’t be like me who had already been paid but still carried a victimized mentality 24 hours on…

Now that I have mentioned it, let’s think about it for moment. What if you are already healed, but you still think you’re not! What if you’ve been forgiven, but you’re still convinced that you’re not. What if you’ve already met your spouse, but you still think he or she is in the future!

God said before, you call, He’s already answered. His answering before we call is like a law. It’s like night following day. It’s like Monday coming after Sunday! It’s like gravity never failing to pull us down when we jump.

Stop worrying about your petition. Give thanks that it is with you. Give thanks that He answers you before you call. I pray, like I, that God will ascertain every doubt you have of a prayer you think is still unanswered.

Isaiah 65:24 ” It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.

1 John 5:15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Proverbs 15:29 The LORD [is] far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous.
