His Time

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He hath made every [thing] beautiful in HIS TIME: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

Some versions say God has made everything beautiful in ITS time. In simple English, if it’s not yet that thing’s time, it will not be beautiful!

If He’s the author, and your life is a book, if you’re to marry in chapter thirty, and you take matters in your hands, forcing your marriage to happen in chapter twenty five on earth, it might NOT be beautiful.

Yes you may refuse to admit that something is wrong, and you might appear all smiles before your colleagues, but what if you had not learnt all the lessons about marriage that God had wanted you to. What if the baby comes and the grace to receive it hadn’t come yet! Your stress levels will go through the roof.

Pops tells me of a gentleman who had no where to stay. A girl who had a crush on him bought for him a car. He didn’t know how to drive. He had no sustainable income to run the car, and soon it became a curse, nearly destroying his life. It was typically not the time for a car in his life — and it seems like there’s an order in life that things ought to come. A house first, then a car, which will have a garage to house it.

A job first, and then we’d think about ‘the girl’ after some investments have been made and property’s bought!

According to God, there’s such a thing as ‘the appointed time.’ That’s the time the thing becomes beautiful, and we can only know this time when we walk in close relationship with Him, praying always to know; the Kairos of things, the time to plant and the time to pluck, the time to go and the time to kill, the time to build and the time to destroy…the time to write, and the time to read, the time for the wilderness, and the time to return.

For everything under heaven, Solomon writes, there is a season, and a time for every purpose.

And who better to tell you the time for a particular thing but God.

Don’t fall for the pressure of the peers. Many are using the excuse that Christ is about to return so they should do some things quite early. Some are just in such a hurry…

To your friend, it could be his time to marry. But if it’s not yours, and you still follow through, you’ll cause what the marvel cinematic universe calls an incursion. This is an event where timelines collide, and one opens a door to thousands of possibilities of how their life would look like — far from the meant direction it was originally meant to be!

So be wise, children. Abandon the idea of impressing others. Let the potter mold. Let the author write. Let your ears listen to only and only His directives.

Avoid unprecedented regrets!

God HELP us…

Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ” This [is] the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.

Psalms 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
