Be Of Good Cheer!

Last evening, a Christian group chat was on fire upset about a Ugandan fashion award event that showcased clothing with the highest manner of ungodly morals. Men wore clothes that exposed their inner parts like belly buttons. Women wore clothes that would tempt men to rape them. It was all wanton.

Evil seemed to be on the loose and it’s not usual, as Uganda is one of the countries with a strong good moral foundation. If such start happening, it gets very worrying.

The group warred over the matter; some suggesting that those with influence for good weren’t doing enough, and others seemed to say that those with influence for immorality were simply louder and they could not be blamed for their wider bandwidth.

Others were lost in the conversation, not knowing exactly what to say, and a feeling of anxiety could be sensed — as though the battle had been won by ‘darkness’.

I suddenly noticed, that this was tearing us apart as friends with a common goal and collective aim. I encouraged every viewer to be gentle as a dove before they could cast their words and emotions. There and then, God whispered to me. And I was encouraged. He said,

“Be of Good Cheer. Yes I said in this life you’ll have many tribulations. But I have overcome the world!”

He added, “Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted in all the earth. I will be exalted among the heathen (the non believer).”

Other versions say He would be exalted among the nations!

I paused and remembered the hallowed voice that spoke to me. I remembered that God has seen it all, and has fought strongholds like these for over 6000 years. What can someone else do but to trust Him to fight this again! I remembered the power that comes with His word, when He said ‘let there be’, and it was. These same words won’t return void when He said He would be exalted!

He won’t be just exalted in Heaven. He said in ALL. ALL the nations. Even the heathen, or evil doers, they too shall exalt Him. So I am not worried. However much wickedness roams about, I am assured of this! Good shall still prevail. Morality shall prevail.

The question of influence was sure. The bad part was when some friends thought they were doing less and so felt condemned which seemed like a win for the enemy, but, like how men are pawns for evil, there must be pawns for good. The focus then is to know where one has been called to influence and let God use him or her.

God showed me a vision of how each of us His children are arrows in His quiver. He pulls us out and stations us at the rear of His bow, pulling us back and launching us as sure arrows, into the enemy’s heart! He dispatches each one of us a missile, to a specific destination.

He reminded of a dream someone had of me. That person said I was a ticking clock. I went tick tick and BOOM. I’d been a bomb all along, disguised as an alarm clock.

The Christian must understand that he or she is a terrible threat to the enemy. He or she however needs to be wise enough to know what position he’s been posted to fight from as a soldier for the kingdom. If one has been posted to fight under aviation, they should not be flying to an enemy ship neglecting an enemy jet.

This is when directives are taken personally, and one doesn’t receive instruction from the command center. The command center here is God, and He’s to show you how to use your influence to retaliate. It’s hard for a footballer to be posted in the music world. It’s like telling a fish to climb a tree. It might spend all its life thinking it’s useless when compared to a monkey.

The moral here is: for the godly influencers to know their lot or post INDIVIDUALLY as far as advancement of the kingdom is concerned, and two: to cast all our cares on the one true God, who already won the war by Christ; so that we don’t bear the burden of responsibility … to plan out how the battle already won is to fully play out while here on earth!

Let’s be of good cheer.

No weapon fashioned against good or God can prosper. And every tongue that rises against Him has already been condemned. He will be exalted in ALL the earth, and whether you are part of it or not, He has already figured out how He will flip the tables.

So, don’t be moved nor shaken like Mountain Zion. Be still and hold your peace. You only need to keep at your post and not worry about a thing!

And you’d be experiencing another kind of challenge, whose solution doesn’t seem to be anywhere near manifestation. Apply that good cheer. Laugh at the enemy. And remember, the battle belongs to God!
