I took this picture of the sunset as I left school one day. The rays imply that the sun is going to sleep. Pretty much like a trail being left behind. This quickly brought to remembrance a scripture from Isaiah 58. It says God’s glory would be our rear guard … meaning His glory is our trail. It’s what we leave behind wherever we pass; just like His paths drop with fatness (or abundance according to other versions), yours drop with His glory.
In the movie War Room, a man was able to tell that a specific room had been occupied for the main purpose of prayer, by its previous owner. Even when the lady was long gone, like the setting sun, her rays were still evident!
Besides that point, when the sun is rising, light chases away the darkness minutes before the sun — its cause — actually surfaces. Over the horizon we can see the same rays announcing its soon arrival. The same Isaiah scripture states that our righteousness would go before us in that manner. I compare that with the dawn rays and, allow me give a scenario where it happens.
I’ve heard of crusades that happened, whereby anointed men or women would be coming to minister in that town, and even days before the actual event, sicknesses begin leaving folk. Demons start manifesting as they weep, like they’ve seen the rays of that preacher coming, and by the time the actual ‘sun’ peeps out the horizon, having arrived at the scene, they are nowhere to be found.
Now that’s scripture fulfilment.
Personally, I’ve gone to spaces where I’m introduced but most of the audience reacts by showing that they had already heard about me or known me from somewhere. It is different when it’s great men who call your name even before you introduce yourself.
That’s what it means for your light to break forth like the dawn. The dawn begins with the sun rays announcing the sun. Meaning you’ll be announced in the same way. Daniel was recommended in the highest office in the province to interpret an unknown writing. His light had gone before him. Joseph too was recommended in the most elevated executive office of that time for a need no one else could meet. His light had gone before him. David was a musician no one bothered about, until the king needed a musician! And David’s name came up! His light (in music skill) had been eavesdropped over the years by passersby. And that’s how his grooming to be king began.
This also happens for you! Your skill, your gifts, your writings, your business, your products, your expertise, your revelation — they are your light! They are spoken of. They are great! They are carried by servants unto palaces, and soon kings will be in need of you. Nations will need your advise in governance! You will be sought out! For your light will have broken out and broken forth for all the world to see!
When your light goes before you, you won’t need to introduce yourself before greatness. When your light goes before you, even demons will say to you, “Paul we know, You we know also…”
