I used to have dreams about my teeth hurting so bad. In the dreams (which came about twice a year), my teeth pained so much that I used to pluck them so painfully out the mouth palates and throw them out. I’d do this until my mouth was all blood, and remaining with very few teeth. What used to scare me to death about these dreams was the excruciating pain. I’d rise up and pray, and check on my teeth immediately.
The more this same dream recurred, the more I prayed about it, until, I believe, I got an interpretation. Here it is;
Apostle Paul talks about speaking to the Corithians as babes. This also meant ‘babies’. Babies, due to their lack of teeth can’t be given food that involves biting or grinding. They are toothless. In the dream, notice that my mouth was being undone, to resemble that of a baby. Eureka!
Paul meant to say, He could not preach to the recipients by serving them meat (which represents the hard spiritual stuff to chew). He didn’t want to lose the crowd telling things beyond what their faculties would understand. Which to my dream, meant, ‘I have been chewing on the hard stuff, and now I will no longer be able to.’
Oops. I had just discovered the revelation behind the mystery. I prayed in that direction, and stopped having painful detoothing dreams.
Since God’s word is vast, try to notice matching items in your dreams and compare them with Him. For example, if you dream of specific trees, find out in which aspect they were mentioned in the Bible.
I’m sure, for example, you’ve once dreamt of snakes. The time I did so, they were biting me. I just went, ‘I have been given power to trample over snakes and scorpions’ on them shortly during the dream, and then returned to sleep…
This topic is vast. And we see that some dreams communicate the future like for that that Pharaoh had. For now, ensure NOT TO FORGET any dream that you might have. Until you decode it, do not disannul it. If indeed you believe it was just a fear trigger or one spurred by the emotional state of your current condition, having no deep hidden meaning behind, you can ignore. Some could be showing dangers to come. Still respond with God’s word to render them powerless, quoting for example Psalm 91, ‘…no evil shall befall me.’
Some of these could be ideas by the enemy. Once he drops it in your mind, and you always ‘own’ it, you might give it life. Some people have dreams where they are in accidents, and they keep saying ‘I always dream getting into an accident. I fear it might happen!’ Child, shut up! Death and life lie in the power of the tongue. You’ve been placed before life and death. Choose life! Don’t be tricked into empowering evil by how you speak.
May God’s Spirit teach you the wisdom of interpreting whatever dreams you might get using His word. And if you seem not to understand, share with someone who could be on a higher spiritual scale than you. Pray, and decode…
