Psalms 22:4-5 Our fathers trusted in You; They trusted, and You delivered them. They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in You, and were not ashamed.
Have you ever received a word from God? And you reached a point in life where everything happening seems not to be in tandem with what He said. All forces are working against the direction God gave you, and you sigh, yet you’d already proclaimed the Lord’s promise in all the earth!
At this juncture, Abraham comes to mind. I imagine he’s told the whole village about God’s promise. But it is ten years down the road, and the man’s impotence becomes the topic around. “Where’s the child God promised you?” They ask mockingly. Poor Sarah couldn’t stand the shame. She ends up intervening while crying ‘I will not be brought to shame.’
What a shame it’d have been, if Isaac didn’t come as promised! Oh but God will not suffer His beloved to see shame! His plans for us are for prosperity and glory and not disaster!
God also reminded me of Noah. He said, ‘Imagine Noah. 10 years, 20, 50, 100, 115… No rain came. But they continued building the ark. What a mockery! How sure are we that the ark wouldn’t have taken less than a century to be built?’
Maybe their technology back then was still being discovered…!
‘No matter child, shame could have crept up at some point. Mr & Mrs Noah…a laughing stock…but oh what sheer disgrace it’d have been if the rains never came! As Noah cried ‘do not bring me to shame…’ I heard Him, and delivered him.
Are you sensing shame ahead? It is well! Like God encouraged me…remember your fathers of old! And how God rescued them! Only let not your trust in Him waiver! He that promised is faithful! Expect no shame! He’ll bring you out into a larger place! You’ll be testifying soon. Do not fear!
What a shame it’d have been if Naomi & Ruth stayed without grandchildren. O but God did not put them to shame! And neither will He you!
What a shame it’d have been if Hannah stayed barren. O but God did not put her to shame! And neither will He you!
What a shame it’d have been if Joseph’s dream did not get fulfilled. O but God did not put him to shame! And neither will He you!
What a shame it’d have been if The Christ never resurrected. but God did not put Him to shame! And neither will He you!

Psalms 34:5 They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.
Psalms 25:2-3 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
