God’s Priority

I look at the hair, each makes way as it spirals up another. Each has a name. God knows each’s name, and I wonder why he should bother to know such small details.
Maybe it’s to teach us something. That if He takes so much care of the small things, of the microscopic details, then how about the bigger things.

You see, a person who cleans the cobwebs behind a cabinet can’t fail to make sparkly clean a normal floor. This is to show us the degrees of God’s care. That if He gives you a child, He’ll give the resources needed to raise that child.

I look at the lilies, each displays beauty in innocent pride. Each could even be having a name man knows not. And God dresses them each day. To impress the scientists and the florists, and yet these flowers have no souls. They are here today and gone tomorrow.

Maybe it’s to teach us something. That if He takes so much care of the small things, of the microscopic details, then how about the bigger things. He will take more care of you. He prioritizes you more than them.

I look at the birds. They have no bank accounts, or granaries. Yet I dare any to sleep hungry. He feeds them. Yes He shows them where the worms are. And yet, these flying creatures were never made out of God’s own image.

They neither carry souls. God didn’t carve them out of His reflection, and yet He gives much attention to them. How much more you. You who came out of His image. You carry His spirit.

He isn’t foolish. He can’t be mocked. He’ll take care of you. He prioritizes you. You are His prized possession. His eminent priority. God has His eyes on you, His ATM to supply you, His heart to love on you!

For if He went through the smallest trouble to number your hair, what detail doesn’t He know! What do you think you can tell Him that He doesn’t already know about? Cast your cares on Him. He’s God. He’s been running the whole earth and all those galaxies for thousands of years now. How can He fail to run your minute life for a few 120 years!?

FYI, I’m speaking to myself—but I could be speaking to you as well.

You’re God’s priority. Humura!

Matthew 6:26-31 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, [will He] not much more [clothe] you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
