The word ‘quintessential’ means ultimate, or of the nature of a quintessence (A thing that is the most perfect example of its type; the most perfect embodiment of something;)
The day I posted that photo on my status, with that question, as shown in the photo attached above, someone described me by that adjective. I studied the word and it brought so much joy to my spirit!
This lady meant to say that I’m the ‘most perfect example of a christian and a friend, or the most perfect embodiment of all the qualities of a good christian and friend!’
What a compliment!
When I think about this, and you, a lot of good thoughts come to me. I’m reminded of the truth that you are the light of the world, and that God doesn’t light up a candle to put it under a bushel (or where no one can see it)
Now, the mere fact that He has placed you where everyone can see you, to me, it means that He trusts you. God has so much trust & faith in you; such that He’s made you quintessential…
He has even said you’re the head and not the tail! The ‘head’ means topmost or significant part. His significance in you is to the end that others are pointed towards you on how to live, or bear fruit in life!
God has made you the most perfect example of beauty, the most perfect example of wisdom, the most perfect example of diligence & excellence, the most perfect example of health & prosperity, the most perfect example of creativity.
He has made you the most perfect example at your workplace, in your school, in whatever thing you’re involved in. If you doubt it, why then would He place a whole of you up where everyone can see? (A city on a hill/ a light on a table)
It seems to me, that He’s telling the rest of the world to look at you and imitate, to look to you and be inspired, to look to you and be motivated. Have you read the things God thinks of you? They are mind boggling! He thinks of nations when He thinks of you!
He set you above all of them nations, just like He told Jeremiah, so that you’ll know your place as ‘ultimate’. You can’t ‘just fit in.’ You have been placed on a pedestal for the world to gaze upon, for God’s glory is on you.
If you still doubt it, then remember as well that Jesus, God’s son, the most ‘perfectest’ example of all things good, resides in you, and yet no longer you that lives (Gal 2:20), so that when the next time God calls you quintessential in that community, in your workplace, in that circle, that you may know He’s not lying, and that if you doubt it, you can always fall back to the truth that He calls you so, basing on the factor that Jesus lives & abides in & through you!
Go live out that quintessentiality!
You’re meant for greatness
