The Lord said, ‘Call and I’ll answer you. And I’ll show you great and mighty things that you knew nothing about.’
There is the calling on one end, and the answering on the other.
In Deuteronomy 6:10-11, it was written, “So it shall be, when the LORD your God brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build, houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant—when you have eaten and are full—”
In Nehemiah 9:23-24, we see the writing of the fulfillment of that promise, “You also multiplied their children as the stars of heaven, And brought them into the land Which You had told their fathers To go in and possess. So the people went in And possessed the land; You subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, The Canaanites, And gave them into their hands, With their kings And the people of the land, That they might do with them as they wished.
There was ‘I’ll give..’ and ‘I’ve given’. There was ‘I’ll bring’ and ‘I’ve brought’.
There was ‘He promised to’ and now ‘He promised and has…’
There was a future, and the future becoming now. This taught me that God promises and fulfills. He won’t promise and promise without performing it.
Just as when you ask, you receive or when you seek you find, there’s an opposite reaction when we encounter God. When we worship He honors us. When we give, He multiplies us.
As one thing goes one direction, another comes from the other direction. As Jesus died for all, all received life and reconciliation unto God.
Whether what you do is seen, and what God does isn’t, know that for every action, there’s an equal and opposite. When you pray, worry is cast out. When you praise, sadness leaves. When you call, He answers. When you believe, He gives you every inheritance He promised!
For every promise that hasn’t come to pass yet, know that it will one day. Mary had to get pregnant by the Holy Spirit! Abraham had to receive that son. The reaction of God’s word is ‘never to return void’! His word won’t fail.
Take the action He’s asked and I dare you to get disappointed!
