Daniel 6:3-5 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit [was] in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he [was] faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find [it] against him concerning the law of his God.
In this text, we discover that the enemy realizes that getting you (a christian) to fault without is so hard. Maybe he has tried to get you back into addictions, or to your old ways, but you are well enjoying your way in holiness.
What the presidents and princes did to Daniel was this; they convinced their King to pass a law that punished whoever didn’t worship Him. Remember that commandment that said you shall not worship any other god but GOD? Well, they sought to see if Daniel would break it. But he didn’t.
Openly, he prayed in a window, not to the King’s statue, but the one true God. Daniel was thrown in a den of lions for violating the law. The lions mouths were shut by God not to eat him. The King discovered this plot, yet He had placed Daniel in charge of all the presidents who sought to destroy him.
The King instead threw Daniel’s adversaries into the den.
Notice how, fiends, when your relationship with the world has been severed, they seek to destroy the very working relationship you have with God. They breach that that is working and like Daniel we ought not to allow anything prevent us from communing with God.
These are some examples I have seen, how the enemy tries to find fault in Christians. He brings in religion and the law, back. I’ve seen scenarios where congregationalists of a specific church are condemned for wearing shirts from other churches completely.
I know a person who wore all colors of his church’s shirts and a few days, others having declarations from scripture, but having logos of a different church. He loved just wearing christian material, but the voices compounded.
“So you belong to those people too?”
My friend used to think, “I thought I belong to Christ. I thought we all do. I just love wearing these kinds of shirts!”
I’d think it bad, if he wore other churches’ shirts and never wore those of his. But he wore them more often…
Insecurity crept in, and he started worrying about that. We don’t notice that such a one is better off than someone who’s walking in the streets wearing a shirt with ‘F’ words and obscene words, or bearing occult signs.
The enemy may enforce introduction of work shifts on Sundays as well where they previously didn’t exist. And like Daniel, you the employee are facing a threat; praying to your God at church or losing your job?
Chick-fil-A is a fast food restaraunt which respects the law of Sabbath (of resting on the seventh day) working not on Sundays, and yet still has profits twice and more than those that work 7 days a week! They’d have been told they wouldn’t prosper if they rested a day, but they didn’t let that disobey what God demanded.
I know things are online nowadays, but imagine a situation that gets you in a position to choose—God or your job?
For Jesus, the pharisees accused him for healing on Sabbaths! Really? Someone has been crippled all their life and the day they walk, these guys choose to ignore the miracle and condemn its execution!?
Perhaps God, or you, belong to a church family that has requested a fast weekly. Maybe you forgot about it this week! Here, the enemy might not even need to use physical means. He taunts and condemns you while in your room making you feel bad for the act. If one doesn’t wake up quick, the event wins. He gets you into thinking that God is mad at you…
And a gap is created like it was; between Eve, Adam & God while in the garden.
So yes, you might not be an alcoholic, but you missed praying the hour God told you to. There the enemy finds fault! For like the presidents & princes, that seems to be an occasion against the very law/instruction God gave you.
Don’t fall prey!
Daniel was favored and exalted. But those below him devised means to find fault in an occasion that would try to separate him from God. Remember God’s love for you is unconditional. He’s sticking with you both when you do what He asks, and when you fall short!
Thankfully, no weapon formed against Daniel or you, prospers.

Romans 8:1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Daniel 6:23-24 Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God. And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast [them] into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.
