The Favor Factor

At church, I noticed something over the years. The head pastor’s children were always favored more than the other children. They were known—just like the headmaster’s children or the principal’s were while in school.

Now it’s not that other children are not important, or don’t deserve love, it’s a factor more inclined to the person in power, or who’s in charge of something salient.

Proverbs 29:26 Many seek the ruler’s favor, But justice for man [comes] from the LORD.
Favor is dependent on the person in a specific position. For instance, the president’s child in any school will attract more attention and win favor from many many more than the principal’s children of that school.

The other thing that I observed, was that favor increases according to which person esteems you. At a local level, if the head pastor of a 10000 member church calls you up on the grand stage and keeps mentioning your name in conferences, many others will by default want to connect to you and the magic that the head pastor sees in you.

This is the same for a scenario where someone works in a big organisation that employs close to a thousand people. If the CEO speaks well of someone regularly, all eyes will turn in the direction of that specific person.

All these are incredible diegeses. . .until the president of the United States requests to dine with you, or if the Queen of England seeks to host you and pass some English inheritance to you.

This final example far surpasses the earlier examples mentioned, as the favor one would be experiencing, surpasses any that had been imagined.

Now beyond any Queen, or any president, there lies another person. A diety—who created all these men in whose eyes we wish to be highly favored. God is He. He created the head pastor, and the principal, and these latter two as well.

He commands the stars and seas. He can command the beasts to favor you as well. He has favored you today!

May you understand that He makes you increase in this favor factor daily and He will make you ride in the high places of the earth. For He’s the ‘head pastor’, ‘principal’, ‘president’ and ‘king’ over billions of people!

You are not just known and favored by a higher power. You are known and favored by the One who made everything you see. He can indeed make even the non-living things conspire in your favor! All other creations favor you as well!

I believe He can make gold keep dreaming about you, desire for you, and get to you!

Leviticus 26:9 ‘For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you.

Esther 2:17 The king loved Esther more than all the [other] women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Psalms 5:12 For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as [with] a shield.

Psalms 30:5a For His anger [is but for] a moment, His favor [is for] life;

Proverbs 3:4 [And] so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.
Once you understand that you’ve found favor first in God’s eyes, it’s then inevitable for men to favor you.

Isaiah 58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it].

Also note in the last scripture that the function of your favoring is God’s and not yours. Don’t go around forcing people to like you. The greatest that ever is has confessed to already being captivated by you… If you ever feel irrelevant, always remember that!
